  1. Yeah, and Betts, Shaw, and Bradley were all in his last draft there in 2011. And we are stuck with Javy :(
  2. Really good, Tim.
  3. Both of these. I'm not sure how much I think he'll catch for us this year. But, he's just gonna be a guy that's kinda hanging out with our Super Team. They won't rely on him. There will be few expectations. Maybe he just completely wows everyone and takes off. But if not, we don't need it. And at least he'll get some experience. We might be able to get a better read on things. And plan on going into next year with a 50/50 split. Give Montero the tutelage of Contreras. Willson will dictate how things go from there. Montero is still there as an insurance option, albeit expensive if Contreras blows by him. But if that's the case, well, I don't see how that would be a bad thing. It's really the perfect opportunity for us. Willson gets on-the-job training. We still have a strong contingency plan if things go sour. And we get a year to evaluate our future at the position.
  4. Yep. Seeing fly balls is good enough for me, even if they are lazy fly balls. It at least shows me he knows how to do something besides pounding the ball into the ground. Now he just needs to show that he can drive them for extra-bases.
  5. A Butters/Arrieta tandem is impossible to overcome.
  6. IF it makes you feel better nobody cares about combined no-hitters. Tim Federowicz was thisclose to playing in a no-hitter in his final major league game.
  7. So that should have been a no-hitter. And Sammy Sofa thought I was crazy for getting so upset about that ball dropping.
  8. No, not that stupid song again! Make it stop!
  9. Federowicz probably has Rondon on his fantasy team. Even Federowicz is smarter enough to not have himself on his team.
  10. The relief pitching has been on point today.
  11. We're all in agreement that even lazy fly outs are a good sign for Heyward at this point?
  12. Gleyber's added two walks. 1-2, the homer, the two walks, and no strikeouts.
  13. Please, I already am at maximum capacity with this song's existence in my life.
  14. Except for the fact that it means Javier Baez is coming up to hit.
  15. Reminiscent of Good Travis Wood from last year that bailed us out of similar situations numerous times.
  16. We continue the trend of having good games when guys get hurt.
  17. I'll take that outing in a heartbeat. Yeah, the walk column is just about all that matters with this guy right now.
  18. And Gary Jones sorta redeems himself. Although the non-send was still completely egregious.
  19. Clifton gave up a 2-run homer in the first, but was solid after that. 6IP 7H 2R 0BB 6K
