Feel most of the Cubs players have had quality at-bats today. Real quality. Could be wrong, though, as I'm just going by what I think I'm watching.

When Gimenez is in the lineup we essentially have 7 offensive players, so this is gonna happen a lot. Dongs are the only way to ensure runs. But even a crappy backup catcher should be able to lay down a bunt. It would have been a fine contribution. It's quite unacceptable.

How is his pinch framing? Is there anything redeemable about him?

I really hate those kinds of innings. It was set up for some success and the inability of a position player to get a bunt down killed it all.
