To be fair, this came after a half inning in which the Nats blew first and third and nobody out with 2-3-4 up.

This is when the season turns around. The ball to second to get Turner doesn't sail into CF and a ball that Candy tried to make difficult to catch was still caught by Rizzo for an inning-ending out in which the percentages of scoring a run were very high.

Man, I'm really going to have to trust you guys if we end up giving Eloy in a package for Gausman, who appears to have somehow figured out a way to perhaps be worse than Lackey this year. A 6.07 ERA? A 5.20 FIP? 117 hits allowed in 86 innings and a WHIP that is dangerously close to 2? I acknowledge being a prisoner of the moment on this, but damn. ETA: although now reading posts over again, it doesn't sound like many are advocating or OK with trading our very best guys for him.

high ankle sprains can be pretty bad torn achilles? I do think that's possible.

Agreed that he is right. But he also doesn't stand much of a chance to throw anybody out even when Arrieta isn't on the mound. Maybe Henry Blanco has something left in the tank if Ross says no.
