  1. im going to the daytona game! :) hopefully vitters and harrison put on a show for me.. i have always wanted to see what vitters showed in peoria but so far has disapointed me severely here, am i the only one that thinks he is a terrible third baseman? castro didnt play ss either yesterday so hopefully he'll be there flashing some leather for me! any questions ill be happy to answer as best i can when i get home
  2. Daytona News-Journal lied to me. Either that or he's hurt. :? missed start due to elbow troubles
  3. Searles Last 20 innings. IP - 20 H - 12 R - 2 ER - 1 K - 13 BB - 7 ERA - 0.42
  4. he didnt get roughed up, he walked the house, by the looks of it was lucky not to give up more runs, must have been scattered.. Side NOTE.. i have heard from my sources.... Starter Dan McDaniel is being moved to the Bullpen Reliever Henry Williamson is to Start from now on.. Vitters with another error today
  5. Vitters at 3B with 4 errors with daytona already? i will see him tonight along with castro again hopefully :)
  6. game tonight was pretty boring in daytona, searle was sitting around 90-91 from wat i saw on the gun the first inning was very average, second pitch of the game HR, followed by two ground ball base hits just out of range of the infielders the second home run then came from a curveball that covered a little too much of the plate, he took it the other way for what looked like a fly ball but the wind aided just over after the first he was very solid, striking out the side the next inning, and 4 more after that vitters made a couple of solid plays at 3B, also showing some power with a line drive that was caught in center, also with his first daytona hit tonight sasser once again looked solid, and must be looking for a promotion soon.. also noticed that there is only 24 players on daytonas roster. side note.. Al Albaqurque was traded to the colorado rockies
  7. makes very good plays and tough plays look easy, + arm.. BUT makes errors on the routine plays when he has time to think.. sometimes makes bad throws when he tries to aim instead of just throw it. tonight was a bad hop i personally thought, was rolling along the ground then bounced up (was hit pretty hard)
  8. 1B Ryan Keedy Released 3B Josh Vitters to Daytona 2B Nathan Samson to Tennessee SS Darwin Barney to Iowa 1B John Contreras to Daytona
  9. being a daytona resident i read this article and was a bit surprised.. talkin to him in the stands he seems like a very nice young man, confident although not to the point of being cocky.. and also on the note of offspeed stuff, i have not seen berg, BUT i have seen searle 79-83mph almost a slurve and he has relative control.. same with the change.. i have seen alot of those fool even right handers.. he says he doesnt try to strike people out, rather pitch to contact.. an excuse? maybe.. although i do believe it considering his 2.4 GO/AO.
  10. at least he showed control tonight only walking one hitter in 5 innings.. just seems as though he threw too many hittable strikes..
  11. it says on the hawks website that mitchell is going to boise?
  12. searle with a short outing, because he is pitching in the all star game.. he got hit with a line drive in the ankle in the 1st inning and struggled to throw strikes after that pina was hitting 95mph, and blackford looked fairly solid
  13. just on a side note, Henry Williamson for daytona. is Dealing... http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Henry%20Williamson&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=457565
  14. vento released, balckford to daytona dylan johnston sent to extended, possibly becoming a pitcher, Guyer to Daytona
  15. it really does seem that he is either on or off lately, curious though, i was following the game this was originally an error by searle on the bunt, making only 3-4 of the runs earned, not 6?? they later changed it to a hit.... Charlotte Bottom 3rd * Christian Lopez singles on a line drive to right fielder Dylan Johnston. * Shawn O'Malley singles on a bunt ground ball to pitcher Ryan Searle. Christian Lopez to 2nd. walks after this is what killed him, plus a double steal
  16. lets re open this topic and see what people think now??
  17. Lalli is older than him? give the guy a chance he is raking, he just converted to catcher hence why he is in A+ not AA
  18. alright ill go first Peoria Archer Vitters Harrison Daytona Chirinos Searle Castro Tennesee Lalli Jackson Barney Iowa Robinson Dubois Mathes?? Just guesses, but we'll see i guess.. WHO ARE YOURS?
  19. note, he has already played there last year
  20. guesses on all stars from each of our minor league levels??
  21. that was last night! he hit another 2 tonight!
  22. went to the game again tonight to see chirinos BLAST another 2 home runs... he does not deserve to be here much longer haha :-)) searle, although gave up like 8 hits, there were a few broken bat hits and lucky bleeders.. and one right under the glove of the 3rd baseman. did not walk anyone and through approx 60 pitches and only 15 balls ball was moving and sat 90-93, also hittin 93 in the 6th inning. curveball was around 82 the ones that i saw. altough pitching to contact and gettin areound 10 ground balls. albaqurque also looking good again tonight in the 9th. defence a little poor tonight excepting for the throw out at the plate from 8-6-2.. castro threw a strike to get the 3rd out for searle. campana beating out another bunt, and also stealing a base. if he develops doubles power he could be very useful.
  23. omg does nobody want to talk about the TWO grand slams that Chirinos hit?? one of which went over the batting cages in left. i have been such a fan of him, and saying that i think he shouldnt be in daytona.. when reed got moved up i was disapointed.. cashner looked good, i was sitting in the stands around the front row and i was talking to leverton and searle, both very nice guys leverton from texas i beleive it was, searle didnt have as much an accent as i thought!! hahaha cashner was around 93-96 i was surprised when they took him out of the game so early! he had a low pitch count.. i was not at all impressed with cales who has seemed to change his arm angle since i last saw him in daytona, his ball was flat and couldnt locate. campana continues to make great catches in the outfield he has so much speed its rediclous, johnston also took a fantastic diving catch samson also a surpriser, making all the tough plays look easy very solid. searle said he was starting tomorow and hoping for a better effort than last time, he said he lost his arm slot and things were flattening out so hopefully tomorow we will see the groundball machine come back out.. im am interested to see sasser and albaqueque and if they move quickly, last night al was at 95 looking smooth
