  1. making a trade makes more sense if you're fighting for a spot. if you're stronger and in a solidified position, it makes less sense. sure so trade away baez schwarber mckinney almora torres and bunch for cueto and chapman and regret it for ten years Your idea to trade Bryant, Rizzo, and Arrieta for a bunch of mediocre A ball relievers is awful. I can't believe you're even suggesting it.
  2. Leaving out guys with service time implications, there are still 3-4 people that should be called up ahead of Baxter.
  3. Javy does HR again. OPS up to .947. Alcantara 3-4 with a HR and a BB, OPS up to .871 Bring them both up!
  4. I think he's upper 90's now and might be able to get 100 out of the pen.
  5. He's a former #9 pick who had a 1.4 WAR season as a 22 year old before struggling as a 23 year old last year. Plus he's white, so Bosio probably won't refuse to work with him like he has with Jackson.
  6. Yeah, he does not seem like the type of player who should be skipping AAA. At least this might make us feel a little better about Baez's debut.
  7. Russell is skyrocketing up my list of favorite players.
  8. Holy [expletive] Russell is cool [tweet] [/tweet]
  9. :D Schwarber 2/3, 2B, 2 BB Contreras 2/3, HR, 2 BB McKinney 2/5, 2B, 3B Torres 2/4, 2B Alcantara 3/4 :( Almora 0/4, 1K Baez 1/4, 3K
  10. Baez is 0-3 with 3Ks....ewwww.
  11. I love Russell more today than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow.
  12. You guys can laugh all you want, but 16-11 is better than 12-15 and that's just baseball history.
  13. I mean, it's not like you have to choose one or the other. There aren't separate strategies. You hope for the division as long as it's still in play, and it's definitely still in play.
  14. Until we lose 6/10 at some point next year, then it's on to 2017.
  15. It would be great if Almora or Hanneman ended up hitting enough. I'd really like that GG defense in the outfield.
  16. Daaaaaaaamn [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. We're still worrying about the Cardinals? Pretty sure that race is over. The lead was down to 2.5 games a few days ago. Relax. The Cardinals are so clearly better even with injuries. They beat us and they sweep teams we should beat. They won a series against us, guys. See you next April!
  18. We're still worrying about the Cardinals? Pretty sure that race is over. Yeah, it's almost June. If we were .5 or maybe even 1 game behind, then MAYBE. But 4.5 games?! lol
  19. Well, they kind of did and all those guys broke (Olt, Denorfia) or were unexpectedly terribad (Alcatara, Baez sorta). Lastella, too. Man...we've had extremely bad luck with the bench players.
