    I don't think it's hoping for luck when they've both been very good in their time here (yeah, Cahill has like 10 innings, but still).

    thankfully nobody in the cubs organization feels the same Hammel's best start in the past month has been 2ER in 6.1 innings against the Braves. He's been bad for awhile. do you honestly think richard would be better? I mean he's been better lately but that's in part because his stuff plays up in a bullpen role where he can get more on his FB. Hammel is clearly the more talented pitcher. When you don't have better options you go with the best option available (and one that has been dominant in a SP role at some point this year). Castro! Given that there are only a couple weeks left and how long he's been bad, I'm definitely willing to try something else. Cahill is my preference, though. Or, actually, a Cahill/Richard tandem.

    This'll help I always forget how much I loved Lofton that year. Such a good player, and so damn cool. If he had spent most of his career as a Cub, he probably would have been one of my all-time favorites.

    did not disappoint I'm so pissed I can't see it. Describe the glory. Some guy hit a ball that had a trail of fire behind it. It looked sure to blaze right through Fowler's chest and to the wall for an inside-the-park home run. Then, suddenly, the skies parted and a dong descended from heaven. And verily, as the prophecies had foretold, it was not a dong of bat, but a dong of glove. Streaking through the sky, Addison Russell snatched the ball of fire from the air. As the runner was a step away from second base, Addison transferred the ball from his glove to his hand, using only the power of love. The ball was flipped to Javier Baez, who stretched out his arm, stretched it to the length of 7 mighty men. The flip was in time. The Cubs were victorious. EDIT: Oh, you were talking about Strop's celebration. That was good, too.
