  1. 7th Inning Singers For This Week Monday - Mr. T Tuesday - Jason Michael Carroll Wednesday - Tyrus Thomas Thursday - William Petersen Friday - Joe Mantegna Saturday - Larry King Sunday - Bruce Weber Guess that is Mr. T behind home plate
  2. And that's a way to run yourself out of an inning
  3. Must not have gotten news that Derrek Lee is out of the lineup
  4. I dont know bout yall but im hopin for Heilman The only thing Im hoping for Heilman is for him to be DFA'd. We have far more deserving relief pitchers that deserve to be DFA'd besides Heilman. Cotts and Patton come to mind.
  5. Ironic that Family Guy is leading-in to Cubs baseball tonight because they're both big jokes.
  6. Nope Padres come all the way back to tie it.
  7. Lee scratched again because of the flu. New lineup: sori riot milt rejo soto hoffp freel (3b) miles (2b) demp
  8. The playoffs are a crapshoot, anybody can win the World Series. The Mariners clinched in like August so they were resting their players for a month and it probably affected them in a negative way when they lost in October. Of course I'd tell you the Mariners had the better chance to win the World Series though.
  9. sori freel (3B) milt lee rejo soto scales (2B) miles (SS) demp Crappy lineup
  10. Umps helping the D'Backs out a ton in Arizona today
  11. I don't know about you but I'd rather be a fan of the 83 win Cardinals team. 116 wins no ring is just depressing. And hey look, Lou was the manager of that team. You didn't answer the question. I didn't ask which you'd rather be a fan of. The goal in Spring Training isn't to win the most games in the regular season and fizz out in October. It's to win a World Series. So yes 2006 Cardinals>2001 Mariners.
  12. No, no it wouldn't. I know you're an optimist but let's be real. This team hasn't won a playoff game together. I think it's time to rebuild and build up our farm system. If someone offers great prospects for one of our players and we continue to look like we have this week, you take the deal in a heartbeat. It's time to rebuild and build a world series champion. So you want to rebuild and build up the farm system and your first action is calling up a 19-year-old prospect from A ball? The first comment was sarcasm to make fun of our anemic offense right now. Of course you don't bring up a top prospect from A ball to the Majors. That's just hilarious to think about. But seriously, he'd probably be on par with Milton Bradley in terms of hitting this year.

  14. Cubs' Milton Bradley feels targeted by umpires http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-25-cubs-brite-chicagomay25,0,157856.story How about you shut up and hit Milton. Jesus.
  15. I'd like to see him get called up to AA soon.
  16. I haven't been happy with this team since last September. The whole offseason was a joke at the time and now looks like a huge joke in foresight and the team has been awful. Hard to believe we're even at .500. Sure feels like 10 under.
  17. Dodgers: Before Manny Rays: We knew they were a good team during the streak. This Cubs team has not been impressive at all. To be honest, I dont remember them being impressive, but the fact that after a 7 game losing streak, and theyre still at .500 suggests they have been. They had Aramis Ramirez when they were impressive. Now they don't. That's the key difference here. I'm not sure what ARam's projected status is, but I've got to believe his return is still in question (in terms of timelines and effectiveness when he does return). Yes, one player means that much to us, right here & right now, IMO. They weren't impressive with Aramis in the lineup either. Of course we aren't better off now but then we had bullpen problems. Now it's hitting and bullpen.
