  1. I mean maybe I'm just not looking at it right but that seems like it should be roughly what it takes to get Miller, sure maybe we need to add a McKinney, CJ Edwards or something but that seems like a fair deal. The other thing is what better offer are they getting for him that beats Torres+Vogelbach+Edwards?
  2. If Doolittle is not enough and we're very unlikely to get Miller for him, what would be the right target where Torres is the main piece? If the market is so out of whack that he's only capable of getting a Sean Doolittle level guy then I hope Theo just holds onto him and lets him continue to develop as a top 15-25 prospect and sends Billy Beane mocking texts about the Russell-Hammel/Samardzija trade everyday.
  3. I agree, I have no issues moving Torres and would like to sell him between now and the beginning of next year. But if Doolittle is the best you can get, just keep him.
  4. That's what a college position player is expected to do- Keith Law
  5. Sharma was on the score this morning and said everyone in the minors is available (not shocking). But he said he thinks Torres would be a piece involved in a Doolittle trade and made it sound like that's a reasonable deal. Absolutely no horsefeathering way on that deal. Also said that even though league wide Soler's value is down there are still teams who absolutely love him and his value hasn't dropped for them. Didn't mention any specifics on that.
  6. On the BABIP part, I would think it's common for a pitcher struggling with control issues (often finding himself behind in the count) for their BABIP to rise as batters are in more advantageous counts/can eliminate certain pitches and sit on a pitch. No?
  7. So on top of Matz having bone spurs/chips and surgery looking like a possibility, Syndergaard apparently has them too. Even though Syndergaard says he doesn't have them, all the NY writers are saying he does. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. I saw a guy foul a ball off his face taking a full swing in BP in high school and never thought I'd see it again/knew it was even possible. Apparently Diaz just did it [tweet] [/tweet]
  9. BFIB Twitter has been pretty good tonight
  10. KB has had enough of this losing you horsefeathering bums
  11. The real coup would be to get Clevenger back
  12. It was complete hot take conjecture with no factual basis and wreckless journalism by some idiot at ESPN
  13. Contaminated kale/protein/juice drinks, IMO
  14. Whut. No, not really. But if these struggles continue much longer, you know that chatter's going to resurface. Who horsefeathering cares. Nice take, Skip Bayless
  15. Remember when we were worried Jake wasn't going to get enough rest because he'd have to pitch in the All Star Game? LOL
  16. There's enough prospects to good around to accomplish both if desired
  17. Just put Arrieta on the DL, this is pathetic
  18. Obviously the reasonable deduction with them being there is to watch those 3, but the Yankees are playing the Twins who are clearly out of it and would probably do a trade now. Do they have anyone we may interested in?
  19. It's kinda crazy to see a major league team, especially the Cardinals since they preach the fundamentals BS so much, play little league defense so often. The Cardinals defense really horsefeathering sucks.
