  1. Edit: Tweet got cut off for some reason and the link just goes to ESPN home page. Anyways, Rondon says he feels good/better is throwing again on Friday and then after that they will figure out when he will pitch in games again.
  2. They were saying on the score this morning that even though Edwards is going to see higher leverage spots, he isn't going to necessarily see an innings uptick (i.e. back to back days or 4 appearances in 5 days) because they still want to be careful with him since he had some injury problems in the minors. That makes sense. I just don't want Joe Smith having any part of "late innings". Agree, but when Strop and Rondon aren't options now and Edwards is being taken along slowly it's pretty much going to be down to seeing Smith, Grimm, Wood, or Montgomery in the 7th/8th innings a few times in the next few weeks.
  3. Ugh. 4. Jake McGee tore his meniscus in his left knee last year in mid-late August and needed surgery, he had two appearances after the surgery on September 30th and October 3rd.
  5. I know the left leg is the landing leg for a RHP, but there's also a good amount of weight/pressure/torque/whatever put on the right knee for a RHP as that's the leg they are driving off of the rubber with. I don't think an injury to one knee is overly worse than the other.
  6. Victor Martinez tore his meniscus in February of 2015, had surgery on February 10th, and was playing on April 6 of that year. Which was their opening day.

  8. Awesome! Pretty much one of the better outcomes all things considered.
  9. I don't have that big of a problem with Coghlan starting tonight vs Martinez. Not a good offensive matchup for Javy and Willson caught last night so give him a day off with a day game tomorrow he's likely gonna be catching or in LF. Also Martinez career vs LHB. 771 OPS, vs RHB .590 OPS
  10. yeah, wtf? they could have had a ton of fun with this. a 1 round 4-person scramble for the gold would be a lot of fun to watch Pretty much, a 2 vs 2 match play would be fun for a round, a 4 man scramble round, individual match play round then like 1 round of individual stroke play. Where individual can medal then standings go towards overall team medals
  11. Bruce Miles just posted a pic on Twitter and the wind appears to be blowing out pretty good right now. It's only been blowing out for like 12 games this year.
  12. I don't want to ever blame an athlete for doing something athletic/instinctive and hindsight is 20/20 but Strop sliding for that ball last night was so horsefeathering stupid.
  13. Golf being just a regular 72 hole individual stroke play tournament is disappointing to me. I thought there'd be some team components.
  14. Drop Carlos Gomez Add Babe Murphy
  15. Is this the 2nd time in a few weeks he's taken a no-hitter thru 5-7 innings?
  16. Even an MCL tear he's done until the playoffs at least. wouldn't an mcl tear put him out for like a year too? Yeah aren't MCL/ACL tears about the same for recovery? Meniscus' can be a short turn around though, I believe

  18. Chapman had like his B- stuff tonight and was still un-hittable
  19. The more I see the Strop play the more I think it's either his ankle or Achilles and not a knee injury.
  20. Why the horsefeathers are your sliding like that Pedro
  21. No, he played catch today. Sounds like he's fine and should be ready to go relatively soon.
  22. Probably not because of his defense. Maybe against Bumgarner or Kershaw even then I'd say still play him e
