  1. The drop off from Javy's defense at 3B to Seal Boy's defense at 3B is not small
  2. Soler has an ingrown toenail and was scratched, Seal Boy is playing 3B (Boo), Javy to 2B, Zobrist to RF
  3. The guy who started for the Brewers tonight went 3.1 innings, gave up 5 hits and 2 BB. The Brewers won the game 1-0
  4. He's at 159 right now, he's thrown 180 the past 2 years. He's fine and he's going to get plenty of rest the rest of the way it is with the 6-man rotation and off days worked in. At most he has 6 starts left and it's probably going to be 4 or 5 including a likely start on a strict pitch/inning count down the stretch. ok? Point being he's going to get plenty of rest so it's not a real worry. He won't see a huge inning jump really no matter what happens (even with a deep playoff run he's getting regular rest at least if not extra days a lot of the time). He threw nearly 190 innings last year with the playoffs. So even with a "jump" plus a postseason run he's not getting much higher than 220 or so and that's going to have rest/skip starts added in.
  5. Would rather see Hendricks get another home start and have Lackey open the road trip. Just because Kyle is so damn good at home. But I guess it doesn't really matter. Kyle's also nearing his career high in IP so extra days here and there might be a good thing He's at 159 right now, he's thrown 180 the past 2 years. 6. Yeah but is it objective? I mean, he's really [expletive] stupid by objective measures What objective measurement of Rose's intelligence do you have available to you? Assuming you know what objective means? Dwayne wade had a 16 on his ACT do you consider him a moron?
  7. Jeimer is a guy we could do a version of the Rizzo-Cashner with, couldn't we? Find a young starter who has struggled somewhat for him? Archie Bradley maybe?
  8. Lackey is good to go to start Sunday per Rogers
  9. I mean, they're not wrong and it's pretty much what a lot of us have been saying all year. Yeah we are having an awesome, great year and are a clear cut above every other team but come playoff time it's still largely a crapshoot. Funny this article got posted today, I pretty much had this conversation with my friends giving me horsefeathers/asking how nervous I will be in the playoffs with the Cubs and my response was pretty much I'll be nervous but I don't expect a world series win since it's not probable and like a 20% chance to happen and their response was oooh look already building in excuses and then I just said, "no that's just how playoff baseball works."
  10. i both hate and love keith law, its weird This is also my stance
  11. One of my biggest worries the rest of the season is getting through the Cardinals series without any of our guys getting hurt by getting intentionally thrown at

  13. Is Will Smith coming in? Rizzo owns Will Smith
  14. He sounds like someone who runs as a 3rd party Presidential Candidate
  15. Yeah don't care about home/road. However if we faced the Giants and especially the Dodgers in the DS I'd strongly consider going Lester in game 1 so he'd be able to go game 5 since they are very left dependent lineups.
  16. Neil Walker is done for the year with a back injury, herniated disk I think. It's the 3rd position player the Mets have lost this year to a back injury, kinda weird.

  18. With rosters expanding today and not really needing to win a lot anymore (not that he even helps our chances of winning right now) I don't know why they wouldn't try and get him a good week or so off to see if a little rest helps. It certainly can't hurt.
  19. Just give him off until next week with our lead and rosters expanding tomorrow
