  1. Another fun fact, the Cubs won more games by 5+ runs than the Giants did the entire 2nd half
  2. I would imagine it feels like going to a craps table starting with your last $20 and leaving a few hours later with $10,000 because the dice just fell the right way.
  3. Yup. Must fight urge to hedge my emotions with a wager like a douche. Yeah I might need to call a guy, those a really good odds
  4. Aw, so they lose something like 6-2 instead of 6-0. How cute. That's the spirit
  5. The only thing that worries me is the stupid inning that their offense will put together of 2-3 weak hits that find holes topped off by a Hunter Pence bloop double down a line that scores a run or 2. Hopefully it's insignificant towards the outcome of the game.
  6. I know players still need to have the underlying skill set and ability to tap into but after reading that I'm more convinced than ever that our FO, coaches and scouts are just operating on a completely different level than nearly everyone else in baseball.
  7. The Marshall for Wood trade was one of the first moves I remember Theo making. It may even have been his first trade. Well yeah, it is...the link shows all of Theo's moves. It's the playoffs. I don't have time for clicking links talking about the Sean Marshall-Travis Wood trade
  8. The Marshall for Wood trade was one of the first moves I remember Theo making. It may even have been his first trade.
  9. was envisioning georgie putting those on the street earlier I don't know how far away the nearest street is behind the walls at AT&T Park, but I'm pretty sure it would set a record for distance of a HR ever hit.
  10. I fail to see how Montero over Willy in the Bumgarner game is a good thing horsefeathers how meatbally it might seem, i don't want anyone but montero catching arrieta in the playoffs and with how well he's been hitting (even if it is a lefty) it's enough for me not to care that much about same handed matchup in for a few ABs Fair enough, I'd be fine doing it if they feel it will really make a difference for Jake. I don't give a horsefeathers how well Montero looked in a limited sample on top of facing a LHP with his history vs them, I hope the "hot hand" theory isn't the reason for starting him.
  11. Also if Bumgarner leaves some of those FB up in the zone in game 3 like he did tonight I feel like whichever of Georgie/Javy is getting a start that game will do something very bad to one of them
  12. How so? Isn't what he's saying obvious? I fail to see how Montero over Willy in the Bumgarner game is a good thing
  13. Not so sure about that. How so?
  14. Having to face Bumgarner instead of Syndergaard in game 3 means we will get to see Willy over Montero in that game most likely. Which is a good thing. Also with facing 2 lefties possibly (Moore and Bumgarner) it means more Willy and Soler and less rat seal boy, which is exponentially great.
  15. And now we gotta face Cueto (potentially twice) and his stupid pausing antics on the mound that annoy the horsefeathers out of me
  16. Please throw a million pitches this inning Bumgarner
  17. We will just end this even years horsefeathers ourselves
  18. If the Giants win hopefully Bumgarner at least throws 130+ pitches
  19. Bunting here is so horsefeathering stupid
  20. In a sport that requires so much precision in so many ways, it's weird that variability is accepted, much less desired by some. I can see that, but isn't it a sport driven more by 'luck' than most others? Not saying imperfect umpires are the equivalent of a bloop single, but something about a pitch on the corner having some percentage of being called a strike, and having small ways to improve that percentage, kinda speaks to the same thing for me. A strike is a strike and a ball is a ball. We have the technology to make it a uniform thing now. It should be done. It's not a luck or grey area or nostalgic thing or whatever you want to spin it as.
  21. How does Rivera rate as a pitch framer?
  22. The Bonilla thing was a smart investment at the time. The Wilpons were just idiots to investment their money with Madoff
