Who said morrow can't close? most of the local beat guys and radio guuys tried to drum up concern over the closer "position" and lots of them were predicting the cubs would need to trade for a closer at the deadline Many also wanted Greg Holland, lol

The Cardinals and Brewers both play some of the most consistently sloppy and bad defense I’ve ever seen. Missed cutoff guys, not making routine plays, turning 1 mistake into a larger mistake, etc.

Who said morrow can't close? There were a ton of things I remember seeing in the offseason about the Cubs bullpen/Morrow along the lines of “yeah they might be good but they don’t have a guy with closing experience, Morrow’s never done it.”

I'm usually pretty positive (I know, shocking news), but that game was as annoying as horsefeathers. It was well worth the derision, despite the win. Yeah that was legit one of the worst games I’ve ever seen out of a HP umpire and it nearly cost us the game.

It’s almost like having games canceled/starts jerked around and pitching in horsefeathers conditions/Coors affected the rotation and now that they’ve had a stretch of the routine/rotation holding as planned without canceled games and moderate to good conditions they are pitching like they should.

“Morrow can’t be a closer because he never closed before.” Is quickly going the way of “Kris Bryant can’t play 3B and is a COF/1B.”
