  1. Brewers first BS run of the day comes across the plate early. Aguilar got on (I forget) how), for some reason Castillo for the Reds thought he needed to be worried about that fat ass on the bases and attempted a pickoff to 1B and Votto wasn’t covering so he held up the throw. Balk was called so Aguilar got 2B and scored on a two out soft GB through then infield.
  2. The Cubs are 7-1 all time in games I attend there, and the lone loss was KB's first MLB dong. So take me with you. I’ve seen two Heyrides in games I’ve gone to there. Which account for approximately 70% of his Dongs as a Cub. There’s some magic in me, we just gotta figure out how to properly use it.
  3. He has 3 ARB years after this year. Happ, Amaya and Marquez I’d guess. I probably do that too.
  4. Greinke has two HRs tonight, two absolute bombs. We’ll be lucky if Almora has 2 by Memorial Day.
  5. I will be at the game Friday in Miller Park, if there’s any suggestions on some sort of hex or curse or spell I can put on the Brewers to end their nonsense I’m all ears if it’s reasonably legal to pull off.
  6. They just have magic beans or something. The last two nights the likes of Alex Claudio, Alex Wilson, Jacob Barnes and Juniors Guerra bridged the gap from starter to Hader and held the lead. Tonight an Orlando Arcia 3 run HR is the difference. Just accept they’re lucky as horsefeathers and maybe it will catch up to them but don’t expect it, I suppose. 4 of their 5 wins are already 1 run wins.
  7. Almora has the lowest WAR of position players on the team. That’s the only thing I’m taking away as truth moving forward from the first 4 games.
  8. Is this the same fan graphs that had the Cubs winning the divtion for basically 95 percent of the time last year? They loved the Cubs more than Duke did, horsefeathers fangraphs. Out of curiosity, what do you think the odds were of Milwaukee winning 10 out of their last 11 games? Somewhere around 1 in 20? It’s gotta be higher than that, I’m thinking more like 1/(0 or 1/75.
  9. Is this the happiest you’ve been since 2012 or so?
  10. That’s such a shitty deal for Acuna. I don’t blame him for taking it and wanting to lock in generational money now, but that deal falls pretty damn short of the deal he should’ve gotten if he’s signing an 8 year +2 team option year deal that buy out FA for only $24 mil combined. He must have just really wanted to lock in money/needed it for his family or whatever no matter what and/or these guys are scared shitless of risking hitting FA after the last 2 offseasons.
  11. If Zagunis attempts to catch that ball Acuna just caught he might literally kill himself.
  12. Kintzler is definitely getting a chance to close out a game sooner than later, probably against the Brewers this weekend. Can’t wait.
  13. Albies hit like peak Bonds (or Yelich if I may) in that early season series in Chicago I remember. Acuna was not up for that series, iirc. So we faced him at most 3 times (all games in ATL), I think we won 2 of 3 there.
  14. it's kind of true though. i wanted harper badly but i also thought it was a little odd that everyone was seemingly cool with the pitching I don't think everyone was cool with the pitching at all. I was obnoxiously and loudly terrified of it, but plenty of other people here voiced far less annoying concerns, especially about the starters. I think everyone, like literally everyone, wanted more done on the bullpen at the least. The SP seemed kinda split (I truly think it’s going to be fine and at least a little plus if not a strength). The good thing is, I guess, is that bullpens are probably the easiest thing to fix on the fly. If we’re going to have one problem, in theory, it’s fixable in season.
