It’s crazy how much the average Cub fan, even ones who follow the team quite a bit, just think Pedro is okay or even not good. He’s been remarkably consistent not only by Cubs but MLB standards since he’s been here. He’s horsefeathering good. If Arrieta never would have thrown a pitch for us, that trade still would have been a good one for Theo. Monty seems like a perfectly fine dude and anyone but that POS Chapman would’ve done, but I really wish Strop could’ve been the guy on the mound to get the final out in 2016. If only he didn’t slide for that ball and tear his meniscus in the last month or two, it could’ve been him out there.
