I assure you I will not. I still think we have a realistic shot at the division and the main thing I wanted this weekend for for neither team to sweep that series. Tomorrow, I care more about the Cubs winning than the result of the other game. And the bottom line is I want the Cards to miss the playoffs and the more they lose, the more likely that is. I feel like if your main goal is to have the Cardinals not make the playoffs -- other then the Cubs making it - then I don't think anyone can tell you you will regret it cheering against them. However, I don't think St. Louis is sweeping the Nats, but I do see the Brewers sweeping the Padres in all four games, and I see a very good scenario where the Brewers glide by us while we are tying to pass the Cardinals. I think it was better to knock the Brewers back from us by three games.* Any way, I know what I'm trying to say, but I'm not really sure I'm making any sense. And I don't drink so I can't blame it on being drunk. I still say screw the Cubs for not taking care of business last weekend and not even making this as much of a convo. * To be fair, I clearly loathe the Brewers so of course I think it would be better. The Padres and Brewers are pretty even teams, I think the Padres get at least one and probably split. Anyways I agree with the sentiment that I didn’t want a sweep in the STL-MIL series either so that’s accomplished. Ideally we win 3 of our next 4, Cardinals beat Brewers tomorrow and get swept or lose 2 of 3 to the Nats this week and then we don’t need to care as much about the Brewers if they lose tomorrow and Padres get 1 or 2.
