  1. And whose fault is it that theses names get leaked? There is maybe what the 2 GM's and possibly an assistant or two in the room at the same time discussing a trade. If it becomes that big of a deal to GM's about players names getting leaked, only discuss trades 1 on 1 with other GM's or go to a zero tolerance policy with assistants/FO guys and if a name gets leaked and you are found out to be the guy who leaked it you get fired/demoted/aren't involved in future trade talks. I think both Hendry and Towers realized they F'd up over the winter on the Peavy deal and neither want to take the blame so they are making up excuses why it didn't get done. Towers is regretting it because now Peavy is hurt and his contract gets bloated over the next few years (he makes $15, 16, and 17 mil. 2010-12 and has a $22 mil. option for 2013), while the Padres have little to no chance of being competitive for the rest of Peavy's time there and his trade value is only going to diminish, as he has a NTC, he's getting older, and he will be coming off an injury. Hendry realizes he made a mistake because while our pitching has been very good, we could use another top of the line guy, especially if/when we get to the playoffs, not to mention Harden's struggles and injuries to Dempster and Lilly.
  2. Who moves into the rotation Marshall? Because then we don't have a Loogy, come on man!
  3. Has Zobrist been mentioned? Also Jayson Werth is having a fantastic year, but he was relatively well known about and had a good year last year. But Howard, Utley, Ibanez and Rollings get a lot of the credit/attention and Werth goes relativley unnoticed.
  4. Yeah, but he's a butcher in LF I LOL'd
  5. NO HE WOULDN'T HAVE Even if he does there is a good chance Bradley gets thrown out there, he wasn't that far down the line
  6. And on a night a guy hits 2 grand slams in a game, who also hits a grand slam? Fernando Tatis I love baseball Tatis is still around? I thought he was out of baseball for a few years already. He put up a .297/.369/.484 line last year in 273 ab's with 11HR and 47RBI, which is pretty good considering he was pretty much out of baseball since 03 (he played in 26 games and had 58 ab's with Baltimore in 06)
  7. Willingham 2nd GS on the night, 13-5 Nats
  8. Heilman has been pretty good recently
  9. Don't really need to explain, just thought I would move it up for the inevitable.
  10. WTF Lou!?! Bring in Fox there, it's especially stupid because you know Z is out of the game this inning
  11. Joshn Willingham GS, Nats up 6-2
  12. What is recently? We played them just a month ago June 23-25 I believe, some hack journalist might have remembered seeing Tigers scouts at games in early June and saw the reports yesterday about MB and decided to put something together about scouts at games. It has been known for a while now that the Tigers are looking for another bat, and don't have a great amount of money to spend so maybe it is just Hoffpauir or Fox.
  13. Actually I am fine if he keeps doing that, because if he continues to hit .200 there is no way he will be brought back up. So, keep up the good work Aaron.
  14. Win idiots, Wandy Rodriquez isn't good.
  15. Either Nolan Ryan or Kerry Wood either at/close to his 20K game level.
