I like that you type this after today, and have previously said nothing like this. ok? i've hardly paid attention to the cubs the past month. i shouldn't say he will suck... i guess he might be your typical #5 but i don't think he will be better than that. although i did just arrive at this after watching him pitch four innings poorly, so what do i know. Wells is neither the pitcher he was for the majority of the summer, nor is he the pitcher of the last two starts. He is likely going to fall somewhere in between and probably end up similar to a Marquis type pitcher So worse than Marshall then? I would say close to the same level, probably a little better than Marshall. But I would say from next season going forward if both were given 25-30 starts their final numbers/results would probably be very similar.
