    if we pull zambrano every time he gives up one hard hit ball, he's going to throw 41 innings this year What about when he gives up two walks and a home run in an inning? (also, the single up the middle was hard-hit). No it wasn't, it bounced 5 [expletive] times before reaching the OF and it didn't even reach Byrd in CF.

    Yeah, it didn't take long for me to remember that I don't like Theriot. My guess is he'll rack up a solid negative UZR number this year after last year's decent showing on D. Well, I expected no less from Z on opening day (why do they even start him on opening day? one win out of six, really?) but on the bright side we get to see what Marshall can do as essentially a second starter and we're only down another Marlon Byrd 3-run HR? Theriot started that cluster [expletive] of an inning, catch that flyball and it could be a completely different outcome. Z looked decent, they had 3-4 hits that totaled less distance than Heyward's homerun that inning and they were all hit extremely weakly.

    Theriot [expletive] sucks at going out on fly balls. Byrd needs to take charge there, even though he had a long run it looked like he let up a bit there. Come on Z!

    Also ESPN3 is supposed to have all the games today that are on ESPN, IDK if there are blackout restrictions that apply there or if you have a cable/internet provider that is approved by ESPN3. But you could also try that.

    How exactly does one get to .1 of a channel? I have never heard of that. It's that new digital TV crap but my dorm runs off of Dish Network, technically, so I don't even know why they show us that we can get the .1 channels. Got it, in regards to your previous question about a link. Justin.tv looks like they might have two links to the game, IDK if it's something we are allowed to post here (a full link) so I won't, but you could check it out.

    Not sure but I don't know how the opposing teams pitcher affects Gallardo unless you are talking about Gallardo's hitting or the arbitrary stat of wins. It's wins and the fact that they could be wasting some of Gallardo's better starts against other teams better pitchers and might not get maximum value out of his appearances. Along those lines at least. Doesn't that go both ways? If you pitch him against a worse pitcher, and it's a laugher that the #5 guy could have won, that's a "waste" as well. Yeah, I guess you are giving your team the best chance to win when he would match up against a #5. But conversely you would have a non #1 going against their #1 at some point most likely, so it evens out. Like I said I am pretty sure someone posted a report on here over the winter how most pitchers over the course of a season face close to an equal amount of 1,2,3,4, and 5 starters.

    The brewers play-by-play guy keeps implying that Gallardo is in for a tough year because since he is the opening day starter, and therefore facing an ace today he's going to face more team's "ace" pitcher the rest of the season. Didn't fangraphs or someone do a study that pretty much debunked this myth, that over the course of a season all pitchers 1-5 pretty much face the same amount of "Aces" and #2-5 starters from other teams?
