  1. And that they did. 2 of the first 3 batters got on base and 2 of the next 3 batters got on. 2 runs score. Not bad, Cubbies.
  2. How many did you want, DJAXX?
  3. Walker has really lived up to his name so far today.
  4. The Cubs have a lot of OBP coming up. Heres hoping they can get something going this inning.
  5. I was hoping he would get it straightened out by the next inning.
  6. Yeah, I'd rather not. :-) C-rap. Prior flat out missed it to K. :( Tell me about it, I was there. I paid money to see that...
  7. Wow, shades of the Alex Cora at bat against Matt Clement. Anybody remember that one?
  8. That would be my plan...if I were Kim, that is. Perhaps that should've been his plan. Cubs up 2-1.
  9. That would be my plan...if I were Kim, that is.
  10. Burnitz has played a lot of games in Coors Field. Maybe there is something to this "Enrique Principle". Hmmmm....
  11. Okay, lets all take a step back and gain a bit of perspective for a moment. Here is what's so: We are going into the top of the 4th inning. The game is tied at 1. Prior has thrown 62 pitches through 3 innings. Everything else is in the past.
  12. That is simply amazing, Fred. You can't possibly track that, can you? You have got to be making that up. It's very real. You'd be amazed what you can do with a good database program !! edit:... not only that..... CUBS are 15-10 when the temperature is 85 degrees or above Outstanding. Great work, Fred. Remind me to hire you when I finally get my dream job of Cubs play-by-play broadcaster. You've got some of the best filler I've ever seen. He'd be like the guy from Little Big League. "well here's something to keep in mind, Johnson is hitting .300 against pitchers he's facing for the first time, against teams north of the Mason-Dixon Line, who don't play their home games in a dome."

  15. I agree with the point he's making though. Knee jerk reactions are okay in moderation, but they can ruin a game thread for others when they are as common as they have been. What he said.
  16. Interesting. Sarcasm has something in common with knee-jerk negativity then. Cool.
  17. Yes, I'm planning on blowing a major fuse, too. I just have to find time in my schedule.
  18. I think you've gotten your point across. And what point would that be? Come on, don't play coy. You've expressed your displeasure with the sort of comment you've been making all game long numerous times. It's one thing to make a comment like that, it's another to repeatedly make them for almost every occurrence in the game. I'm sorry. I couldn't tell from your response whether my point was that I was displeased by Prior's play or I was commenting on those that are.
  19. I think you've gotten your point across. And what point would that be?
  20. Dude, come on, the Cobs. The Cobs are always playing worst than the other team.
