  1. As did I. I'm still amused that some announcer called maryland/davidson "a genetic game"
  2. I'll open a lot. none of them will work, though
  3. that's exceptionally bad

  5. that's weird....i've been bumped and back in 3 times already, hah....are you in the VIP line? no. I wonder if I need to update something.
  6. still not in mmod
  7. How does the last team in get an 11 seed?
  8. TT just blew a 4 on 1. yuck
  9. heh that after-the-buzzer shot in the BC/TT game almost nailed some cheerleader in the back
  10. heh@stanford
  11. can someone explain what Your current position in line is: NaN means? because their help page can't
  12. Your current position in line is: NaN
  13. I'm impressed, CBS actually bought some HD cameras
  14. No, you need to refresh it and start in the back of the line-that's what I had to about 30 minutes ago because my computer was doing the same thing. It was fine, they just hadn't updated or had people leave.
  15. That makes no sense. If injuries caused the decline, how can you describe the good year as a fluke? And people who still don't acknowledge the 280+ very solid innings in 2004 and 2005 simply cannot partake in any analysis of Prior. If he's truly done, that doesn't make 2003 a fluke. It simply says 2003 was his best year before injuries (most likely due to severe overuse) damaged his body and ruined his effectiveness. But the guy is 26, not 31. Pitchers battle through all kinds of problems in their 20's quite frequently. The very best HOF types get through this timeframe unscathed, but there are still good pitchers who had up and down results before their late 20's. Predestination I want to see them actually put holiday express customers, selected completely at random, against baseball "experts" picking games or stat-winners, something like that. Since the pros are so lousy, they'd come off as being roughly equal to the experts even if they lost. Time for an ad pitch
  16. March Madness on Demand-you can watch any game that's not being shown on television in your area for free online. Wow, that looks nice. Aside from the 65000 people in line ahead of me
  17. I don't understand how people don't see what the problem is. Throwing games is what I would take issue with. Betting on your own team to win doesn't seem all that evil to me. But, there is no way to know whether he bet for or against them. That's only part of the problem. The other half is how his losses could affect games he doesn't bet on. Even if he never bet against them, he was in with the bookies. You don't have to have the cash to make bets, you can bet on credit. Rose put himself in a situation where he could have found himself in a big hole to the bookies. That could lead to him being influenced to throw a game here and there. As a manager in MLB, he shouldn't have been associating with bookies, period. Nothing good could come out of him getting in debt to those types of people. he's claiming there were no games he didn't bet on. not sure if he said he bet equal amounts every night, though heh
  18. what's mmod?
  19. William williams would be pretty bad
  20. http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_pictures/grail/large/HolyGrail181.jpg I've never seen a still of the rabbit before. thank you
  21. Oden looks old. Not "lying about his age" old, "worrying about winning a championship before he retires" old. Weird. Oh, and Wisconsin looks like they're going to lose their second round game.
  22. You're right. He's a crappy baseball player who happens to be in the Major Leagues (much like Neifi Perez, Rey Rnez, and many others before them). And there's a reason why those men are playing "slow pitch" softball. Fixed. Well the arguement was he wouldn't belong in a line-up of a "slow pitch softball team". However I beleive none of those "slow pitch softball" players, could even break .050 in the majors. So I beg to differ. 8-) If that. Most of them probably couldn't make contact in 10 at bats. One of my friends said he could get a hit off of a major league quality pitcher if given enough pitches (he played 2 years of Baseball in highschool), but I even doubt that. Or maybe not. Perhaps I've giving too much credit to Major League players? I bet around pitch 180 I could start getting some contact. Someone get carpenter ready, he's gonna throw until I hit something But seriously, I assume that pitchers represent the best that someone who is a decent athlete but not gifted in hitting could do against ML pitching. They're not selected for their ability to hit but they get a lot of practice (compared to a regular person) at it. I don't think it's unreasonable to claim that a lot of people could hit .100 if they practiced for years. Pitch 180 is where you start making contact? What if they start mixing in curveballs and change ups? (Assuming this is some hypothetical pitcher that isn't suject to fatigue) Then you can't just sit and time your swing for a fastball. Honestly people really don't understand how daunting a task of getting a hit in the majors is. EDIT: Yeah, someone said that above. A lot of these hitters put up absurd numbers in High School, like batting .700 and stuff. Could you imagine someone like Albert Pujols against High School or even College pitchers? My plot was to exhaust him. And injure carpenter.

  24. Bad mechanics lose him 2-3 mph? really?
  25. There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with short girls, so long as they're not stubby. I'd take a 4'10" girl with a hot body over a 5'10" girl with a hot body anyday, and I've dated both. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out why. I couldn't date a girl almost 2 feet shorter than I am. Both weird and ackward. Of course, 5'2" was a different story, so maybe I'm wrong. But seriously, I was taller than that when I was 8.
