  1. The crowd is really loving fouls called on shaq
  2. what happened here, why didn't he go to third? It was a horse[expletivenotdeletedinoriginal] bunt, the runner couldn't advance He's gone mad with power.
  3. what happened here, why didn't he go to third? Pitch was thrown at gorz's head, he fell over and bunted it to Santana who was able to look Font back
  4. Between the other games and the draft, this gamethread is like something out of September 2009
  5. The Cavs are slightly better with Lebron on the floor than without.
  6. Pittsburgh has been outscored by 57 runs. They've only scored 54 runs. They're a game ahead of us in the standings.
  7. I love the history of this thread's titles
  8. Good game from everyone but Marshall and Ramirez, nice to see.
  9. Wright has crazy eyes when he fields balls
  10. Well, it was an inside pitch, so you tell me: mistake or design? I was in the kitchen
  11. And you know for sure that his streaky ways in the past aren't similarly accountable? No. But as bad at their jobs as I think baseball management is, I have a hard time believing it's that bad. Of course, I could always be wrong about that.

  13. Seeing Zambrano in the dugout is depressing now.
  14. You're getting silly. I'm pointing out that there's no evidence he's stopped sucking against righties willing to throw him something that is not all inside pitches. Look up the pitchfx data yourself if you want to see. I've seen it. If you're going to nitpick Soriano to that degree then you can't even justify him having a career in the majors at all, much less just pointing out how he's had a decent start to the season. He's an enigma that way, as is the question of why don't teams just pitch only to his obvious flaws. What's silly is expecting that teams are going to suddenly start only pitching away from him when they haven't been for a decade now. All I'm saying is that there is a very good alternate explanation to his sudden outburst of offense to him coming around. His offensive production has been more a result of the pitcher than his personal peaks and valleys.
  15. You're getting silly. Careless are you still doing this? Give it up, if you really pay attention to Soriano then you know when he gets hot it DOES NOT MATTER who he faces. Did you not watch him vs. CC Sabathia 2 yrs back???? People like you drive me nuts, when a player is hot give them credit. Let me guess you have boo'd him atleast once tonight? C.C. Sabathia the lefty, in 2007? There's not one thing that's accurate or responsive in your post.

  17. Soriano is still batting .151 against right handed pitchers not on the Astros
  18. hahaha
  19. wonder what the hell he is referring to. I can't think of anything a normal 26 year old who wasn't on steroids would need for that. PEDs would be the #1 cause of infertility in someone of his profile, given his admission he was taking some drug in the field.
  20. How can his timing be there in these april games when he starts getting in shape so late every [expletive] year? I don't know, why don't you ask 2007, 2008, or 2009 Aramis who crushed the ball every April?
  21. Zambrano thinks he's Barrett in disguise edit: he thinks Soto is Barret in disguise
  22. I was about to write that despite appearances, he's only given up runs in three of his appearances. Doesn't stop his ERA from being over 10
  23. Love watching our coaches yawn as we are down 2 runs in the 7th
  24. When I was looking up the pitchfx data yesterday I came across a site that just plots all pitches to a batter. Comparing Soriano's plot with a regular hitter's is pretty funny, with colors randomly distributed outside of the strike zone, aside from the tail of swinging strikes that trails all the way off the low/outside corner of the chart
