    His OBP will alwaysbe jaded due to the fact that he was pitched around so often. His .263 career batting average speaks more for the type of "pure hitter" he was. Patience is one thing, but swinging for the fences is another. I live in STL and I know of plenty of Cards fans who are outraged by the prospect of this.

    Lol, Soriano is the Forrest Gump of baseball. I don't get all the venom towards him this morning on the sports radio I'm listening to. Yes he was having a bad game, everybody does. He played his typical sub par defense and looked lost at the plate. He was the only guy who came thru with a huge hit last night, tip your cap and celebrate it. I think the animosity is due to his " safety dance " :rotfl: around the bases. It was a huge hit, though.     We ar eplaying VERY well right now. I believe we get Soto back in the next week or so, and we go on a TEAR for the month of August. We should be 4-5 games up by the end of this stretch. I'm saying 21-5.

    I remember there was one time that there was a Spanish speaking pitcher on the mound. RON: Larry's going out to the mound now, and Ramirez is out there too. Larry is gonna talk to Ramirez and he'll translate it into Mexican or Latin, or whatever it is that they speak down there.
