Possibly the Marquis situation has been solved. Its rumored that the Padres would now take Marquis in the deal with the Cubs paying 3-5 million.

I wonder if the player they are looking to trade for in the outfield is a better player then Milton Bradley. Bradley seems to be a damn good option to me and I dont see the Cubs trading for a better OF then him..

Bradley is clearly an upgrade in defense over Dunn, Abreu, and Ibanez. He also has the ability to play CF and he is a switch hitter. He provides alot of versatility. I believe one reporter mentioned the Cubs coud do a Fukudome/Johnson platoon where Fukudome plays RF and Bradley is in CF, then when Johnson plays we move Bradey over to RF. Bradley is also probably the best all around bat at this stage too.. The negative with Bradley is his injury history and the inevitable Z bashing Bradley in the face with a bat.

It looks like we may finally find out soon. It also looks like its not going to be Cuban who was most fans favorite. If Cuban is out of the running, who should we root for? Does anybody have any idea who would be willing to spend more out of whose left? Does anybody have any feelings on who would not be willing to spend as much on the team? Who are you rooting for?

Have to take his age into the argument too. Half of those superstars who have had similar streaks are in their 30's. Who has put up similar production thats younger then Ramirez. David Wright, Pujols (I think hes younger), Utley (Is he younger).. I dont know but Ramirez should be just hitting his prime.

He may be out now but if he was out for months why would Cuban still publicly be commenting that he is very much involved (as recently as last week).

The timing is ironic and could hurt Cuban's chances with the Cubs. But, I doubt the SEC timed this for the MLB. With the financial crisis and stock market problems right now, I would think the SEC would have bigger fish to fry then sports. But, who knows..

So one bidder is Ricketts, the other is unknown to media, so is Cuban the other bidder?

200 level is on the lower level on the main walkway right? Above the box seats? I wouldnt mind standing there for a full game it would actually probably be a better view then alot of the seats and Its alot cheaper to do that then pay for a seat.

Yep, next year they play 81 home and road games. This year there are 81 home games and only 80 road games. Much more balanced out. Dont you meen 92 home games? You forgot the Wrigley Field North games against the Astros an Brewers. -
Renovate Wrigley.. Keep the ivy, the scoreboard, the marquee, the ivy, and renovate the grandstand, underneath the park.. everything.. give them a state of the art clubhouse.. etc. Age 19

Yes. Now that I told you that, don't yell at me! huh, why would I yell at you? lol am i unaware about something.. I am a mod there which means half the people love me, and half hate me. :) lol, oh wow I didnt even know you were a mod. Just have seen you posting there for awhile, Ive been around since like February of the year Scheyer committed to Duke. I think I led to a string of recruiting losses because right after that was Brandon Rush.. and well the list need not go on.
