    His name used to be Mike. What did you expect? I had him in fantasy baseball when he was Mike Stanton (I think he was like 20 that year). Anyways, then I pictured him as a massive power hitting pasty young white guy that looked exactly like former reliever Mike Stanton. Wow this entire chain of conversation is accurate for me. I pictured him as a hitting mike Stanton until I learned he was Giancarlo then I thought he was someone who could barely speak English and because he plays in obscure Miami I assumed he had no personality because you don't hear much from him. I knew I wasn't the only one.. In similar news I pictured Cubs pitching prospect CJ Edwards as a little blond white guy from South Carolina till about the very end of last season after that trade.

    I was surprised to hear Giancarlo Stanton speak the last couple days. I never saw him having a personality or speaking english fluently for some reason. I didn't know he went to HS in Cali till yesterday reading about him. I always viewed him as the Terminator or something before..

    Does a crappy defensive catcher really kill you that much? As long as he's not giving up a TON of passballs and is totally incapable of throwing even slow base stealers out I feel like a catchers defense may not be as important as purists make it seem. Has their been any research on this besides for Joe Buck's opinions?

    Let them blow their elbows out, their org is built around pitching. Pretty sure Theo plans on our lineup being so filthy we are going to sign 12 inch softball pitchers for our rotation.

    If you were the Marlins, would you be looking at a deal with Almora as the centerpiece? Can't we hope Jeffery Loria influences their GM..

    You'd need to send Russell or Castro over in the deal so Bryant can stay at 3B in that situation. Unless you want an OF of Bryant, Soler, and Stanton... then you need to move Alcantara. Long story short... you can't acquire Stanton without losing a spot for one these dudes somewhere Nobody cares where they field if that lineup is out there.
