  1. The original pre NSBB Cubs.com Lowblow ??? Wow.
  2. Javy did that during a year that everyone knew the Cubs would suck making it somewhat easier to deal with. They are actually supposed to be good this year. Totally different set of circumstances. I hate to admit it, being a big Schwarber fan, but I am guessing he is very close to a trip to Iowa.
  3. I think he should give Dave Kingman a call.
  4. Pretty dickishly worded regardless of if you saw this thread or not imo I would never make a joke of any kind when a young man dies, baseball player or not. I was feeling shocked and sad when I wrote it, I had just found out. In my mind it was posted in sadness, and that's the way it was intended. I already apologized to those who took it differently. Now I'll let all you perfect [expletive] get back to your grieving.
  5. It would appear my post in the other thread came across much differently than I intended. I did not see this thread, figured people would just add on to the old one, if I had seen this one I would have never made that post. . Anyway, I apologize for the other post, I truly meant no offense. Mods, could you please delete it ?
  6. Never mind the fact that all the seal pictures ceased to be funny about 50 pictures ago, I heard from a reliable source that Tommy has seen this thread, and if you all don't stop he is going back home.
  7. Think everyone needs to re-group.... 1. A 7-9 of Strop, Rondon, and Chapman is pretty damn good . 2. If the Cubs hadn't traded for him, there's a good chance another playoff team would have, and we'd have to face him. 3. We only have to put up with the sorry spouse beater for 3 months. I will root for him on the field, and hope he continues to be lights out. Off the field, he can go to hell.
  8. Thanks again. They are talking about 2015 there, but hopefully it covers 2016 too. I am in Ft Wayne, and it's listed.
  9. Thanks, I saw that. I thought right before the season started last year MyTv picked up a bunch of the WGN games. Someone (TT?) posted the schedule on here. Maybe they aren't doing it this year ?
  10. Has anyone heard if MyTv is going to be airing any of the Cubs games again this year ?
  11. Glad to see Olt go as opposed to Wada or Beeler. Not so sure either of those two couldn't do better than Haren. But that's another discussion.
  12. You have done good work here. Now if he would just wear 100% cotton pants, he might REALLY take off.
  13. Do you guys still have that secret code word you used to use ? That was so cool. Yours Truly, A Former Poster Of The Week Winner
  14. While he may go to Iowa for a few reps, Olt will be back on the MLB team long before Sept. . Just take a look at our bench.....
  15. Thanks for this Banedon ! I wasn't aware a channel in my area was carrying the games.
  16. So do you think it's bold or is it as much of a no-brainer as you're arguing it to be? Either way, nope, not happening. And I counter that they'd look like short sighted idiots (SSR is going to get mad at this post) if they broke camp with him. Well, he does have to kick ass this spring first, certainly not a given.
  17. After all the accolades Bryant has recently garnered, if he tears it up this spring the Cubs will look like real cheap schmucks if they send him down. Not to mention all the talk about winning this year. Plus, I would think he would have pretty solid grounds for filing a grievance, should he be so inclined. Sticking with my bold prediction.
  18. He could bat 1.000 with a home run every at bat and that still wouldn't happen. Well, that's my bold prediction.
  19. After an incredible spring, Kris Bryant forces himself onto the opening day roster.
  20. This is beyond dumb. Coaches/instructors have recognized it and tried to work on it with catchers for years and years before it was ever a thing among advanced metric people. I know I was a catcher. Oh come on lol Hahahahahahah! They taught "pitch framing"" in Little League in the early 60's.
  21. Best argument on this tired message board in years. "You're dumb","You do know I own this board".[expletive] priceless.
  22. Sadly, while all of the negatives about Lake may be true, he is still our most productive ML outfielder at this point.
