Javy did that during a year that everyone knew the Cubs would suck making it somewhat easier to deal with. They are actually supposed to be good this year. Totally different set of circumstances. I hate to admit it, being a big Schwarber fan, but I am guessing he is very close to a trip to Iowa.

Pretty dickishly worded regardless of if you saw this thread or not imo I would never make a joke of any kind when a young man dies, baseball player or not. I was feeling shocked and sad when I wrote it, I had just found out. In my mind it was posted in sadness, and that's the way it was intended. I already apologized to those who took it differently. Now I'll let all you perfect [expletive] get back to your grieving.

It would appear my post in the other thread came across much differently than I intended. I did not see this thread, figured people would just add on to the old one, if I had seen this one I would have never made that post. . Think everyone needs to re-group.... 1. A 7-9 of Strop, Rondon, and Chapman is pretty damn good . 2. If the Cubs hadn't traded for him, there's a good chance another playoff team would have, and we'd have to face him. 3. We only have to put up with the sorry spouse beater for 3 months. I will root for him on the field, and hope he continues to be lights out. Off the field, he can go to hell. -

Thanks, I saw that. I thought right before the season started last year MyTv picked up a bunch of the WGN games. Someone (TT?) posted the schedule on here. Maybe they aren't doing it this year ?

So do you think it's bold or is it as much of a no-brainer as you're arguing it to be? Either way, nope, not happening. And I counter that they'd look like short sighted idiots (SSR is going to get mad at this post) if they broke camp with him. Well, he does have to kick ass this spring first, certainly not a given.

After all the accolades Bryant has recently garnered, if he tears it up this spring the Cubs will look like real cheap schmucks if they send him down. Not to mention all the talk about winning this year. Plus, I would think he would have pretty solid grounds for filing a grievance, should he be so inclined. Sticking with my bold prediction.

This is beyond dumb. Coaches/instructors have recognized it and tried to work on it with catchers for years and years before it was ever a thing among advanced metric people. I know I was a catcher. Oh come on lol Hahahahahahah! They taught "pitch framing"" in Little League in the early 60's.
