I have the same dilemma... On the one hand, you want to be supportive, but on the other hand, maybe a sense of nonchalance will be the deciding factor. Ultimately, it is in our hands, not theirs, to win this game.
Well, my old-school red and blue Cubs hat obviously contributed to this loss, so I will not be wearing that again tonight. Perhaps one of my Cubs Convention shirts. I wanted to save those for the World Series, as they have accumulated quite a lot of positive vibes, but I think our boys in blue definitely need a win tonight. If the Cubs win tonight, you all owe me big time.
I agree. Of course, I'd wager that money would be the deciding factor, but do we really want to spend as much as he'll command? On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't mind him at all... While we're on the subject of fantasies, I wouldn't mind having Sabathia either.
It's pretty terrible. I'd be willing to pay for a service like this, if it wasn't so bad. I just want the normal camera shots. I don't like seeing one at a time, because then I have no idea what's really going on, and four at once is ridiculously hard to follow.
If I don't have access to a TV, what is the best way for me to watch/listen to the Cubs during their playoff run? Is the best I can hope for just listening to them via MLB.TV or is there some way I can watch them too? Last year, I was lucky enough to have a friend who had some kind of setup where he streamed his television online so I could watch it.
Len, You have just about as much class as anyone could. And you're right about one thing: we do deserve it! This team, and its fans, deserve to win it all. We also deserve more seasons with you and Bob in the booth. Keep up the good work, Chris
yeah, pretty much the same here. this dude is weak. scheduled in june? he's not even married to her? pathetic. to top it off, the WS wouldn't even start until Oct. 22 so he wouldn't be missing the Cubs first championship in 100 years if he's going on vacation the "second week of October". FAIL I didn't even realize this! Great point. He won't even miss the World Series, but I bet he still won't go to it and he'll use this as an excuse for that too. "Nah, I didn't go. My girlfriend was tired from our trip two weeks ago."
Seriously? Yes, seriously. The Cubs without Wrigley Field just wouldn't be the Cubs to me. Wow. Even more puzzling about this is the fact that you don't even live anywhere near Chicago... Even if you did, though, I still wouldn't get it. [-X What the?? How would he not living anywhere near Chicago mean anything at all? I was raised in Chicago. I lived in downtown Chicago for a year. I'm a Cubs fan. I currently live in Colorado. Does this mean that I don't get to have an opinion about Wrigley Field?
This was very well done. I actually found myself enjoying the entire thing, just because the information that you read was very well-written. If you added in some graphics and changed the delivery, this could be the start of a really special collection of videos. Thanks for sharing.
Yikes. I don't have any websites for you, but I have a living relative who was at Babe Ruth's Called Shot game. So I could possibly get you information from her if you were interested.
I gotta disagree there MasterBlaster. Getting rid of the umpires altogether would be ridiculous. It would no longer be baseball. Thankfully, I doubt very much your ultimate vision of baseball will ever come to pass.
