  1. I will not be watching the show Leverage. It looks bad.
  2. So, what kind of organization does this for 100 years? the organization put together a team that won 97 games. this, well, this is not the organization's fault. they've made the playoffs 4 times in the last 10 years, at some point, you have to start wondering. what has to happen to convince people? So what, a curse? what else? do the cubs have to be up by 10 runs in the 4th 5th 6th 7th games of the nlcs only to lose each time to convince you that they're never getting to the world series? Alright. I can feel you on that one. But I think there are also more tangible reasons as well, and I think the organization is to blame, curse or no curse. I feel better blaming them than a goat.
  3. Nice! I just got my first warning! Talk about a silver lining to all of this...

  5. Not even close You're delusional. No offense to you personally. The fact that the players choke every season has nothing to do with the organization. They put a great team on the field. I'll keep asking till I get an answer: What level of underperformance over what sample is needed to suspect an organizational effect? Surely we can study this statistically instead of just spewing dogma. You're a god damn moron. If you want to blame it on the pressure that is on the team with the 100 year thing, then fine. But stop acting like the organization is to blame. You sound like an idiot. They built a 97 win team with very few flaws. It's not their fault they're choking. No, you're the moron! They failed to win a world series in 100 years. IT BEARS REPEATING! It was not the same players 100 years ago that it was today. So who do you blame? The organization. 97 wins means nothing when you don't win in the playoffs.
  6. Has a team in professional sports gone longer than 100 years without winning the championship?
  7. Not even close You're delusional. No offense to you personally. The fact that the players choke every season has nothing to do with the organization. They put a great team on the field. What? The goal of an organization is to field a team that wins the World Series. It is NOT to field a team to just do well in the regular season and do nothing in the playoffs. This is not the goal. Who do you blame after this much ineptitude? The organization. The buck stops there!
  8. So, what kind of organization does this for 100 years?
  9. So, Zambrano pitches well, and we screw it up. Zambrano gets a walk, and we screw it up. Zambrano needs to hit someone. Someone call Barrett
  10. No, it won't be worse. But it will be the second worst of my lifetime.
  11. If they don't like the pessimism, they shouldn't read the game thread. End of story. There is no reason whatsoever to think that the Cubs will win this series. If you honestly think that after this the Cubs are going to play another game in Wrigley Field this year, you've never been more wrong in your entire life. Thanks for summing it up in a little nicer tone. I'm still a littled upset...
  12. People getting upset at the pessimism here need to shut up and get the @#$% out. If you don't expect Cubs fans to be pissed off about what just happened, then you are delusional. This is a thread about a playoff game. We just crapped all over the field. Expect things to be bad in here.
  13. Yesterday, someone asked me how any one could be a Cubs fan, not knowing that I was one. My parents are at fault here for raising me this way.
  14. SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPEN TO CHANGE THINGS OKAY I DONT LOVE THIS
  15. Sorry, I meant two errors. I'm amazed it's not three. Theriot's wasn't? Why not?
  16. Can someone explain to me how we were only charged with one error?
  17. Okay, now I know that there is a curse/conspiracy.
  18. That's not good enough. We scored runs last night too.
