Hill was our 2nd best starter in 2007, but since then has completely broke down. His star has fallen, if he ever even had one. The fact that Hendry can sell our once top prospects at all shows to me his ability to move on and not dwell on what once was. As much as I hate to see these guys crash and burn in our pinstripes, it happened. There's nothing more we can do. Our hand was forced in this situation and Hendry will now make the most of a bad situation. We can't focus on what he failed to make of Hill/Pie/Cedeno, because these things happen from time to time. Also, while I would have liked to see Hill try to fight for the 5th starter spot in ST, or even a relief spot, his track record over the past 9 months has been unbelievably awful (btw, is Cotts capable to be our lefty next year? I know we have good RH relievers to face lefties, but I still find this a glaring problem). If this is really it, I wish him the best. I'll never forget when I first got HDTV and saw Hill and Marquis sitting next to each other on the bench clearly hungover on their off days. Good times.
