  1. http://replygif.net/i/1322.gif .900+ OPS = just respectable Yeah but he's hitting under .300. I would rather have Juan Pierre.
  2. Correct. This is the most difficult month of the season schedule-wise, 18 games against playoff contenders. The Cubs are 10-4 in those games. Despite losing 8 of 12 they're still playing at a 109 win pace overall. The pitching has continued to be solid. Things are more than fine. I think it's fine to express frustration so long as perspective is maintained. Being a well-adjusted person doesn't mean having no emotions whatsoever. People differ in their levels of expression, is all.
  3. I mean, really, our process, as Joe would like to call it, has been good (aside from Rizzo and Baez forgetting how to hit and Soler still being a major-leaguer for some reason). Hard-hit balls, lots of baserunners, good pitching. We've just encountered a bewildering amount of fluky BABIP luck and sequencing the last two weeks. The only thing you can do is shake your fist at God, really.
  4. Sigh. Stop playing like garbage. For horsefeathers's sake.
  5. Really no point in watching this team right now.
  6. I really hope Maddon hasn't been his typical sunshine and bunnies with our performance lately.
  7. Stop playing like trash, Cubs. Holy horsefeathers.
  8. The Cubs haven't been paying attention for the last week, sadly. The only good pitcher we've faced since Cole was Bumgarner.
  9. Oh, okay, but Bryant was left a hanging meaty curveball and grounded out weakly. Of course.
  10. Can't wait to see how many runs we won't score against a mediocre pitcher tonight.
  11. At least our next series is against a team with some of thr worst infield defense.
  12. Remember when we knew how to hit? Against both good and bad pitching?
