  1. Because of course the pitcher goes 3-0 to a strikeout.
  2. I agree with you there - that's why I've been posting more often when the Cubs do something good. But my initial behavior of only being doom and gloomy means that it will take a while to change this perception.
  3. Okay, I agree this is a little unreasonable.
  4. I'm level-headed outside of the games, and I've been trying to pay more attention to positive outcomes this season. A lot of people pretend that emotional indulgence isn't allowed in sports - a field of entertainment designed for emotional indulgence. Sometimes I say really petty, meatbally things (I've been really tempted to post something along the lines of 'You can't convince me that the offense is giving it their best effort lately,') which I agree is very stupid and isn't as acceptable as expressing mild disdain that a good team is struggling against mediocre pitching. Yes, I know horsefeathers happens. Just like when you stub your toe or get stuck in bad traffic. You're allowed to get irritated during these instances. So long as you don't allow these moments of annoyance to dictate your overall mood, nothing wrong is going on.
  5. Okay - this isn't a fullblown meltdown here. I'm allowed to express mild disdain when our offense goes on a three-game slump against three pitchers who combine for league average performance, just like any other user. You've long lost the benefit of the doubt, I'm afraid, that's the consequence of persistent doom-mongering. Fair enough. Doesn't matter much to me either way.
  6. I'm more annoyed that, against three mediocre pitchers in a row, they've all had their one of a handful of good starts they'll have all season. Jimmy Nelson's ERA is between Gerrit Cole and Cole Hamels, he is a good pitcher. Even if they were all terrible, this is baseball, these things happen. Please proceed to get a grip at your earliest convenience. Okay - this isn't a fullblown meltdown here. 8. 2 runs against another mediocre starter isn't what I expected today.
  9. That looked like a fly ball off the bat. -_-
  10. Every time we've said that the starter has gone like 5 innings.
  11. I'm barely happy. That was draining. 15 runs tomorrow, please.
  12. How the horsefeathers does a reliever come in and not know how essential it is to throw strikes?
  13. Brewers, you are trash. You are useless. Your season doesn't matter. horsefeathering lay down and die so a relevant team can get the win.
  14. Well, except in that glut of blowouts we've had so far. This one game invalidates all of the others!
  15. Christ, it's never easy. horsefeathers baseball.
