  1. Regardless, no one should be belittling anyone about getting irked over scoring one run against a mediocre Braves pitcher. Yes, the season has been amazing so far. This particular game has sucked.
  2. This offense just hasn't been good for a while now. Since May 15th, a 23 game stretch, they've averaged 4.21 runs per game. During that stretch 13 of those games had 3 runs scored or fewer. Comparatively, 4.21 runs per game would place them 15th in baseball compared to the rest of the teams season long runs per game. I've got them at 4.35 runs per game in that stretch. But, regardless, things are so horrible that in this arbitrary time frame you've selected, they've still been only average. And we both know why you've chosen this time frame. Let's see, they scored 17 runs in the two games before that, and about a million in the 25 before that. Let's just throw them out, though, because they don't matter. Why are you going all Ski on a 41-17 team? We're wondering if teams have adjusted and are pitching us differently, and we haven't adjusted, or if this is just an extended blip on the radar.
  3. You do realize we are 41-17, right? I mean, [expletive]... calm down. I'm calm now. ^^
  4. Holy horsefeathers, score some runs. It's the Barves. Good lord.
  5. Can we not have our something like eighth game this year where we suck against a mediocre pitcher? horsefeathers is getting really old.
  6. I will be upset if we lose a single game against this AAA team.
  7. It's only one start. It's not a good punishment at all.
  8. GREAT WE LOST THE SHUTOUT GOOD horsefeathering JOB RICHARD
  9. I'd be more annoyed at Franco if we weren't utterly obliterating the Phillies.
  10. I've quoted myself pointing out how stupid I am for thinking this, so you don't have to, Sammy.
  11. It's a sign of how spoiled we are that I'm irked that we're suddenly back down to an 8.5 game lead, assuming Pittsburgh hangs on tonight.
  12. It's not too much to ask Howard to botch that hop, methinks.
  13. I did a little digging around on fangraphs. Heyward;s groundball rate this year (48.6%) is in line with his career average (49.8%). His line drive and fly ball rates are similar to his standards as well. But his hard% is 21.4%, down from his career average of 30.5%. So the notion that Heyward isn't driving the ball this year is entirely accurate.
  14. I know there's nothing to be done about Heyward besides be patient. Bitching him out or dropping him in the order isn't going to magically flip a switch in his head and make him start performing at the plate. But at the moment, he has no business batting near the top of the order.
  15. I mean, Maddon could drop a hint by slotting him 8th in the order.
  16. horsefeathers horsefeathers horsefeathers
  17. Still need a clutch hit this inning. Two chances to get it. Don't horsefeathers it up.
