  1. One of my most favorite things ever is when the Cubs don't walk many batters.
  2. You're learning so fast! :) I've been following these threads all year  But seriously, ballgame. Now we just gotta wait for the Cardinals to win 12-0 while no hitting the Reds!
  3. Nascar had better not win that poll, or even come close.
  4. Just got back from eating. Regarding the DP... it's hard to score runs when you ground into douple plays.
  5. It seems that whenever the announcer says something positive about the Cubs, the opposite happens. "Edmonds is 8-18 against Hudson!" What does he do? Gidp.
  6. Terribly Insightful. Reminds me of John Madden- "Well, the team that scores the most points today is going to end up winning the game." I want Fred Hornkohl to have in his useless stats "The Cubs are 42-0 when they score more runs than the other team...0-18 when they don't."
  7. I'm preparing for a loss, but we still took 2/3. Of course, the Cardinals are going to pitch a perfect game with 27 strikeouts, magically going up 7 games on us. The difference on Monday is Hudson wasn't pitching.
  8. If Hudson dominates us, I have a bad feeling this is a loss. Still, too early to tell.
  9. It just seems like he hasn't been as "dominant" as he has been.
  10. Oh bugger. I knew in the first inning that Zambrano didn't have his best stuff.
  11. "It wasn't that long ago when Ted Williams hit 400!" Lol at Len and Bob.
  12. I could stand the color if I could actually see what was happening.
  13. If both pitchers do well, I have a feeling we'll have to use Marmol in this game.
  14. If the Cubs break down after this, I think it'll be more mental than physical. With that said, I hope Lou gives the team a good pep talk.
  15. These are my thoughts as well. I mean, Soriano is great, but he can occasionally be a bit frustrating, and it's not like he's putting up MVP numbers.
  16. 6 weeks. You've got to be kidding. Eh, I'm not going to worry too much. The Cubs can still do well without him, and it'll give some other guys some starting time.
