    It seems that whenever the announcer says something positive about the Cubs, the opposite happens. "Edmonds is 8-18 against Hudson!" What does he do? Gidp.

    Terribly Insightful. Reminds me of John Madden- "Well, the team that scores the most points today is going to end up winning the game." I want Fred Hornkohl to have in his useless stats "The Cubs are 42-0 when they score more runs than the other team...0-18 when they don't."

    I'm preparing for a loss, but we still took 2/3. Of course, the Cardinals are going to pitch a perfect game with 27 strikeouts, magically going up 7 games on us. The difference on Monday is Hudson wasn't pitching.

    If Hudson dominates us, I have a bad feeling this is a loss. Still, too early to tell.

    These are my thoughts as well. I mean, Soriano is great, but he can occasionally be a bit frustrating, and it's not like he's putting up MVP numbers.

    6 weeks. You've got to be kidding. Eh, I'm not going to worry too much. The Cubs can still do well without him, and it'll give some other guys some starting time.
