  1. Apparantly that ball went 360 degrees.
  2. Now I really wish Edmonds would have taken ball 4.
  3. because no one cares about stats like that I personally think it's an important stat. Cubs batting .208 in that situation. What if the Cubs get a bases clearing double with one out, then the next two guys make outs? It doesn't really matter when you score runs. If they were .208 overall with RISP I'd be concerned It depends on the situation. Usually later in the game, 2 out hits with RISP are much more important. Maybe a more important stat would be RISP/2 outs inning 7+. The more selective the stat, the less important it is. The most important is how the team is overall performing. We have the best offense in baseball (most runs scored) to this date, so I wouldn't worry. I'm not too worried. I was just pointing out that I'm surprised that when people talks about the Cubs flaws, no one mentions this.

Maybe a more important stat would be RISP/2 outs inning 7+. and when its late and close Exactly. Occasionally, RISP/2 outs in late innings could show how clutch certain teams are (although the Cubs have been very good in the late innings). I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs RISP/2 outs inning 7+ is much higher.

  6. Comments like this make me :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Get used to it; I'm very sarcastic. You also said: So I don't think you were being sarcastic. I made my original post with a sarcastic intent, then decided to to post further comments on the topic, since in the month I have been following these game threads, I've seen no one else bring up the fact.

  9. I'm surprised no one talks about the Cubs inability to bat with risp and 2 outs. Seriously, they're batting like 200 in that situation.
  10. The Cubs once again show their excellent ability to hit with runners in scoring position and 2 outs.
  11. I have flashbacks to the Houston game where Lee hit the go ahead 2 run hr in the 8th.
  12. There is no one in baseball that can hit that pitch. MARMOL!
  13. I just fear a Marmol walk right here.
  14. Marmol coming in. We're not out of it yet, but I feel a lot more confident.
  15. Eyre! btw, where do you get those odds?
  16. It's just that the Cardinals love winning every game.
