  1. Hundley is having a big day at the plate.
  2. Just curious, has a team ever scored a run in all 8/9 innings of a game?
  3. 1 out walk for the Pads.
  4. Testes gets out of it. Maybe the Brewers will pull another Cubs and get no hits with RISP.
  5. 1-0 Pads, sac fly. Now shut em down, Testes.
  6. Hopefully the Brewers pull a Cubs and do terrible against terrible pitching.
  7. Obviously, I am a Cubs fan, but I am even a bigger baseball fan. I love to play it, even just catch. And I'll watch any game on TV, even if it's college or Little League. So, do you guys watch other baseball games on TV, or just the Cubs/Brewers/other important team's games?
  8. Another reason to hate the Yankees.
  9. Z is fine. He hit 97 in a recent commercial and had excellent control:
  10. Maybe the reason we're losing is because of all the negativity in the game threads. If we're positive, we'll definitely win!
  11. My understanding of how it works is that the person who has the most wins in the game threads during the season starts game 1, then yields to the 2nd most wins, etc. As it stands right now, I'm starting Game 1 of the NLDS. Well, if I can go 22-0 over the rest of the season, I'd start game 1 :D
  12. Estes, Geer, Peavy, and Young. Maybe Sean Testes can repeat that start against us.
  13. Exactly. I decided I had better thing to do when the Cubs were showing no signs of hitting Wolf, and went to throw a frisby with a friend. Now, I'm probably going to play DS, then go to bed. In fact, I'm not even really angry, just frustrated. However, logic tells me we still have a great shot for the playoffs, and there is no point in playing the role of Chicken Little.
  14. Sure, this streak is frustrating but it's not a reason to lose faith.
  15. I think a good ripping is what the Cubs need right now.
  16. So, when can I be put back on the end of the list? After I start my first thread, or after I am done making all of the threads (assumg the Cubs don't lose on my first game thread).
  17. Greetings from beautiful North Dakota! http://farm1.static.flickr.com/152/427199547_4a769001dd.jpg?v=0 http://nd.water.usgs.gov/lewisandclark/images/fort_lincoln.jpg The recently solid Lilly (13-8, 4.23) http://www.cubbiesbaseball.com/images/spring/2008/lilly.JPG Will take on rockstar legend Bronsen Arroyo: (13-10, 4.51) http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/03/28/1175110916_0062.jpg Now, Cubs fans, I know we are stuck in a rut, and yet, we still have a very good chance of making the playoffs. Perhaps our streak can be attributed to facing bad pitching and the hot astros. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking forward to getting on the road. These bad games can't last forever, and a day off will be nice. I want to make the rest of the game threads for this year, including the postseason. I want nothing but humor and positivity in this thread. I don't want us getting all bummed out. Make outrageous predictions. Joke around. Post some funny youtube videos. But no moping, no cries of the sky falling, or you will be promptly banned* In fact, I want full positivity in this thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV0mHPWkBgg Go CUBS! *not enforced
  18. Anyone know who the probables are for Friday? I am going to make that game thread as soon as possible.
  19. Werth strikes out to end it. Nats win.
  20. Please tell me Valverde is unavailable.
