  1. Basically, all New York has is a pretty good offense. Not too much in terms on SP besides Santana, and we all know how the bullpen is. If anyone wants to offer a more detailed analysis, feel free.
  2. So you'd rather play the Phillies in the first round than the Mets? That's sure smart. Phillies clinched today. The Cubs will play either the Mets or the Dodgers in the first round.
  3. Nah, I'll delete mine. Yours was posted seconds earlier (since mine was higher up on the list) and you have a better list of games. Kinda funny, though :) Haha, cool. Is there a way to delete your own topics? Top of the posting box when you hit "edit post."

  5. Really? You do know he is scheduled to pitch in Game 2, in 4 days, right? But as of this afternoon, he was named the starter tomorrow. Yea, Bruce said the plan was for him to pitch an inning or two, which would make sense But as long as he's not hurt, who cares I guess I didn't know he was going to pitch a couple innings. But I think that would have been a stupid idea since he was named game 2 starter already. Had he been going in game 3, that would be different. I know...like I said, its the same thing that they did with Lilly last year. He started the Sunday game, threw 2 innings, and then pitched 4 days later in game 2 It was Z's decision not to pitch in the game: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3612971 Zambrano is just a crybaby who wants everything his way
  6. Ryan Braun is a douche. When someone has a no hitter going, you don't try to break it up.
  7. Arby's!!! Don't even think twice about it. Oh, but don't leave yet. If you're starving eat the hamburger and then go to Arby's after the game. real hamburger or more fast food? It's left over from grilling at home.
  8. Quick question, should I go get Arby's or have a left over hamburger in the fridge?
  9. Geez, this is the second time Lilly has taken a no hitter into the 7th.
  10. What's Lilly ERA after the ASB?
  11. Royals get a sac fly in the inning. 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th.
  12. Royals have the bases loaded with 1 out.
  13. I expect Ted to throw 110 MPH next inning.
  14. They've clinched a tie. They need to win today or tomorrow, or the Mets have to lose tomorrow. For a three way tie to happen, (assume the Cubs win today) the Mets and the Brewers would have to win tomorrow, and the Phillies would have to lose today and tomorrow. If the Brewers come back and win today, the Brewers would have to lose tomorrow, the Mets would have to win, and the Phillies would have to lose today and tomorrow for there to be a 3 way tie for the wild card. If that were to happen, the Mets and Phillies would play a playoff game for the division, and the loser would play Milwaukee for the division.
  15. Interesting. I hope his shoulder is ok Lou did this last year with Lilly (started him for 2 innings and then had him pitch on "3 days rest" in Game 2), and Lilly looked awful in the playoffs. I love that Lilly went from our number 2 starter to our number 4 starter. And Rich Hill went from our 3rd starter to the Rookie League... And Wood went from 1st starter to Sham Closer. And Prior went from our 2nd starter to...er...the DL And Maddux went from our 3rd started to the Padres to the Dodgers.
  16. I actually don't mind that I'm getting the Twins game... go Twins!
  17. Cut out that nonsense. I see what you did there.
  18. If you don't commit suicide if the Cubs lose in the first round you're not a Cubs fan.
  19. Does Lilly have any career home runs?
  20. Maybe he's assuming a loss today.
  21. That's the 3rd different record I've heard. Bukie says the Cubs are 7-5 against the Brewers. Fred says they're 8-7. You say they're 8-6. Which one is it?! Cubs have played 5 series vs. the Brewers 1-2 on the first series 1-2 in the 2nd series 4-0 the third series 2-1 the fourth series 0-1 so far this series Which adds up to 8-6.
