    I read on Yahoo that out of the twelve teams that have been at least six games better than the major's second best team since the divisional era began, eleven made the World Series (2001 Mariners the only team not to win a pennant). I really hope that bodes well for us.

    Buck should be fired. How do you not bring in your 0.50 ERA closer with an 80% groundball rate in extra innings on the road with the winning run 90 feet away? My god, Britton might as well not even be on the roster at that point.

    I'm pretty pissed that the Mariners got robbed by shitty BABIP luck in a game that could have set up one of the wildest finishes in baseball history (2011 aside).

    The meatball in me agrees with you, but a team can limp into the playoffs and still go on a tear when it really matters. The 2000 Yankees lost 15 of their last 18, and the Royals stumbled a bit in September last year, as I recall. It would still be nice to see us play a little better so we can wrap up home field advantage as soon as possible, though.
