    Kasper; "This is Murton's 3rd multi-hit game as a big-leaguer." (and I'm guessing its probly his 6th or 7th start in the last 16 games?) Hmmm... and why exactly is it that Hollandsworth gets 4.5 of 6 and 5.5 of 7 starts a week then? Oh, right... he's one of "Dusty's Boys".

    Is Felipe Alou the kind of manager that pays attention to pitchcounts? he did have Fassero up in the pen, so i would assume he does pay attention to pitch counts. He had Fassero and Munter up the last times they showed the shots of the Giants' pen in the last half-inning.

    Here's to hoping against hope that this is Lowry's last inning. We just can not solve soft-tossing lefties. We can get hits and scratch across runs here and there, but rarely do we jump on them.

    had a single and a walk before that out. Wow. My mind just totally shut off then, cause for the life of me, I honestly don't remember those.

    Maybe its just because I'm in rant-mode, but Hairston has been Corey-like lately (IMO). Not getting on with any kind of frequency at all. He at least makes contact, but still its all outs in the end.

    top of the order next inning, it is somewhat good to have the pitcher make the last out Exactly. Rolling over the lineup is huge. The only other spot I would move him to in this lineup is 7th. I'm just ranting. Barrett has had some really ugly hacks tonight and Murt is 2-2.

    4-1 Redpigeons. The NL West shouldn't even be allowed to field a playoff team this year. SD will be leading their division with a 50-all record. Disgusting! :x

    Always going with the "veteran". Murton and Barrett should have been switched around tonight, or probly just about any night their both in the lineup.

    Its great what Murton is doing, but starting him in the 8 spot is as bad as not playing him most of the time, Dusty!! Sandwiched between Neifi and Maddux? HA! His hits mean nothing unless he can get up with someone on base!
