Has Burnitz reached base on ANYTHING other than either an error or a bobbled-ball hit right at someone, in the last month?? Jeez. He's both really bad, and REALLY lucky.

I think his best game might be his 3 homer game last year. Quite possibly, but did he hustle out a double and/or have a web gem in any of those games, too? I'm looking at the "all-around play" here. :wink:

Nice to see Corey's falling back on his bad habits. Either using that big looping swing of his to chase the high-inside fastball. low-inside offspeed pitch, or just plain chasing - and missing - balls in the dirt. #-o

Well, now that I'm moving faster than a snail... what's up?? Cubs lose 12-4 last night and are holding the Stros to just 1 (so far). Is Maddux really that much of a "2nd half pitcher"? His last 2 outings (up to this point) have been OUTSTANDING!

I've officially lost my mind thanks to the 2005 Cubs, but I hope we see Macias in RF - or whatever combination of him or Lawton, if Murton in LF - from tomorrow until 9/1. Burnitz might be due for a hot streak soon, but that dude is nothing but an overpaid hack right now. Dusty getting Lee and Ramirez time off???????? :shock: Course, doesn't matter now that the season is flushing down the toilet as we speak.

Pat and Ron were talking about how he looks 'bigger' this year. I know you guys are just kidding around, but anyone (a righty-swinger) who plays their home games in the JuiceBox, feels like they need to be on steroids to be a better player DESERVES to be caught and banned from baseball for LIFE, just because they are so stupid!!
