    The increase in HR could possibly be explained by pitching inthe MWL (bad HR league early in the season when its cold) and the FSL last year and moving to the SL this year BUT I don't know if those leagues broke down that way in terms of favoring pitchers and hitters last year. No matter what, he's a fly ball pitcher so he's more prone to HRs. Another reason he doesn't get tons of attention is that I think most of us realize his future is as a reliever (combined with his lack of Ks). Increase in home runs? Now i'm only a mechanical engineer, so i could be wrong, but i thought 1 over 38 innings is better than 3 over 67. This year he's allowing a home run ever 38 innings compared to last year when he was allowing a home run every 22.33 innings. Of course, i could be reading that backwards, idk

    Funny that you say that. Watch for Braun in Web Gems tonight as he made a very nice catch. Because we all know that having a web gem totally validates your defensive prowess. Never said that, but your post mocked his defense prowess for tonight. Tonight he made a play that mot many LF could make. I'm hoping you aren't talking about the sliding catch he made where he pointlessly slid to catch the ball. He shouldn't have been involved in that play at all if whoever was playing center wouldn't have backed up on the ball instead of just running in and catching the ball. Then Braun was basically sitting still when he slid to make that catch. If that ball would have fallen in, it would have been one of the worst outfield plays i had ever seen in my life. Seriously, whoever was in center is a horrible center fielder (maybe i'm overreacting and they just had one REALLY BAD read on the ball)

    Theriot's going to create his own 50/50 club 50HR and 50CS. well, he only has two CS so he has some work to do on that Plus he's 7 and 1 in his last eight steal attempts, why do people think he sucks at stealing bases? For comparison, Brian Roberts has four steals and three CS and people seem to like him
