  1. Petition to change home-field advantage to the team with the best record. DAN UGGLA =D>
  2. Ugh best game ever.
  3. Zito holding up a finger for each win he'll get during this huge $100 million+ contract.
  4. Put any of these guys in a uniform that has a bird on a bat in the front of it and watch their OPS fly over .900.
  5. Someone needs to shut that guy up. I feel bad for his kid.
  6. I've heard about this all day living here on Long Island. I've been listening to my Met friends rant about it and I'm happy I'm not with them. Some info per my friend: - When the Mets sputtered in April, the backstabbing began, with Randolph being undermined along the way. Words of Randolph's honest player evaluations in those staff meetings somehow made their way to the ears of players. That left the manager in a brutal position of trying to draw performance out of veterans who heard that behind closed doors the manager wasn't so sure if they had the right stuff anymore. - Well... according to Eddie C., the Wilpons ordered this yesterday morning before Omar flew out to CA. Omar was still going to hold off.... - "Any room in cubs nation?"
  7. OMG THIS IS DEFINITELY GOING TO HAPPEN http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_pictures/grail/large/HolyGrail018.jpg
  8. Yeah, because when Soriano is taken out of the leadoff spot, he's produced so well.
  9. I love me some Reed Johnson doubles down the line.
  10. It's always good to learn of someone new who has accepted the challenge, hardships, and torture necessary to be a fan of the Cubs. Welcome to hell! You don't have to be crazy to be a CUBS fan..... but let me tell you, it sure does help !!! :tease: I'm a relatively new fan too, just something about the Cubs stuck out, and just seemed like a team that had to be mine.
  11. If there is any way possible, I'd love to start a couple of threads this year. :D
  12. Talk about taking over Dodger Stadium, wow.
  13. I remember this game so well, watching at a freaking Bar Mitzvah. I was 13, yes. I could never forget Acevedo after that day.
  14. Man I don't know what got into Wilfredo Ledezma and Barrett but they must have some kind of speed to make Cub pitchers nervous all of a sudden.
  15. I don't know how Soriano can get up there and seriously hit. Seeing Marquis in the same exact place right before I went there would depress me WAY too much.
  16. I guess Ted Lilly decided to show up today too.
  17. Typical Marquis. He's an inning early though!
  18. It's much less worrying when you can see Helton throw his bat away in disgust If only I could. The TV gods chose not to make my TV be Extra Innings-compatible.
