  1. Mike Maddux wants to be on the next season of Deadwood. Put errr there partner.
  2. I was in school in Wisconsin when California rolled out their "Happy cows come from California" ads. ****.hit.the.fan. That crap pissed me off. But happy cows do come from California. Everyone knows that. Given that you live in Davis, you should know all about California cows. Go Gaucho's... UCSB student/alum? Yup... alum. I did Grad school for business in the Bay Area. Haha, did you throw tortillas at basketball games? Oh yeah. Only problem were the free throws the other team would get as a result.
  3. In the NL? Might be right. The West outside of AZ is bad. And the Marlins are in first in the East. Something tells me that the padres and the dodgers haven't exactly peaked yet.

  6. Not as pretty as their DP, but I'll take it!
  7. To quote Dice Clay... "sounds like cats mating."
  8. I agree. Just a question, how close was the game winning run. I'm just curious if Fontenot scored where Soto wouldn't have. There was no play on Fontenot. Hawpe went away from the play to get it, but I'm still not sure Soto scores. There's definitely a play on him at the plate. Yeah, I didn't disagree with PR for soto. I just wish we wouldn't have done it for lee. Save Pie and PR him for Soto. Regardless of the fact that Lou had no idea Ramirez would homer, lee isn't that slow. That's exactly my thoughts. In fact pinch running for Lee also made it so pinch running for Soto could have been a bad move because we would have had no hitters. It will be interesting to see how Lou explains his moves in the paper tomorrow. I have a feeling he is going to justify pinch running Pie not as much for the steal, but to increase the chances of scoring on a double given the massive outfield in Colorado.
  9. Cubs win! Break out the chamomile tea in celebration!
  10. Big thumpers coming up. Marmol has his work...
  11. Marmol!!! Cubs didn't use him earlier much to the chagrin of many.
  12. fixed Curios... How is this on Lou? I realize that he has made some strange moves, but they had nothing to do with what just happened.
  13. He made a bet with Gagne on who could blow the most saves this season. Gagne took the lead yesterday. Corpas ties him right back up. Game on. In fairness, Gagne didn't get the chance tonight to maintain his lead as it appears he might have lost the job. Either that or Yost thought 2345445567 outings this season might be one too man for Gagne. Totally...I just thought saying it the other way added a little punch to the one liner.

  15. We should bring in that guy Lee as a defensive replacement for the bottom of the ninth. Oh, wait...
  16. Ha. Ram's wiff had something to do with that... I can't believe people are complaining about a successful double steal.
  17. What can you do. Still think it would have been nice for Ram to see more than 3 pitches, no matter how much they broke.
  18. Reed J hit again! Very Biggio like in that regard.
  19. I don't think Lou was wrong in what he did. Bringing in Marshall was clearly a good move, and Leiber has been $$$ all year. Sometimes things just don't go your way.
