    F'in Edmonds.. I DONT CARE HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE OR WHAT THEY DID YESTERDAY - JUST F'IN PLAY HARD... HE JOGS AND SLOWS UP ON A WOULD BE SINGLE THAT TURNS INTO A DOUBLE.. CHANGES THE ENTIRE COMPLEXION OF THE INNING AS FAR AS SITUATIONS.. THEN THEY WALK MARKAKIS INTENTIONALLY TO LOAD THE BASES FOR MR. CONTROL JASON MARQUIS (WHO HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD OF LATE) - ( I STILL DONT LIKE HIM) SERIOUSLY - CANT WIN EVERYGAME, BUT DONT GIFT WRAP IT FOR THE OTHER TEAM... HERE'S TO YOU MR. LOLLIGAGER....AKA EDMONDS

    Are they still doing the winning league gets home field advantage? I thought it was a 2 year experiment.. Please correct me... it would be a shame for the Cubs to end the season with the best record and playing so well at home not to have the home field advantage....

    I am fine with vintage uniforms and even old graphics, but seriously WTF. I dont want to watch a game in black and white or crappy camera angles. There is nothing remotely interesting about it. I am annoyed. There is a reason we have HDTV and a reason I have the MLB package with a 57 inch widescreen HDTV.. completely and utterly pissed regardless if for two innings. INSANE.. my opinion

    He still makes me nervous. But I posted " give Soriano a Code Red " which was deleted mods... But I will say, he has really been hitting well! Soriano I am sorry... and also sorry about the "talent" I saw you with at Pittsburgh.. 136 million should get more

    This is turning into Bartman. I am actually glad that he threw his glove. He wants to win and is a competitor. PERIOD! Who cares, it is not little league or bush league. I wish Soriano would do more of that or less spitting.

    take a look an exhibit A Bob Howry... I didn't think this is little league where everyone plays.. once he came in, the game was over...we all knew that. BUT...the offense AGAIN did not make the most of runners in scoring position, certainly with a guy on 3rd with less than 2 outs.. if they score, one more run Wood is in the 9th.. This team will beat up on the weaker teams and weaker pitching (most of the time) but come post season, better manufacture some more runs...or 101 years

    I have to say that I am from Chicago but not live in Cleveland.. Every year I drive to Pitt to see the Cubs and stay at their hotel.. It was like my own personal Cubs convention....I was in the lobby (after a 1/2 marathon) Players were coming down getting some food, some in the elevator..But after the game...many showed up at the bar and many were very nice...Got pictures with Sean Marshall, Eyre, Dempster, Blanco and Marmol...Also, Santo, Pat Hughes.. Of course my fav. Wood - came off the elevator and I got jammed up my the rent a cop... However, Jim Hendry was absolutely the nicest funniest guy.. A couple of guys from Chicago were talking to him and one of their buddies is a SOX fan, so they asked him Hendry would call his cell phone and say something to him re: the Cubs.. It was really cool, he message said something to the fact that this is Jim Hendry of the Cubs and you as a fan have been traded to the northside... I think I annoyed Eyre and Hendry as I had to buy them a drink each....after much ado - to shut me up, they agreed... But all in all I think it was neat to sit in the lobby and see all of them.... I will say that they get bugged a lot and a few of the players would not even acknowledge a hello or good luck....but I understand..

    If some of you are not aware. The bleacher creatures are a different animal out there. Throw the home run ball back , ok I get that. To throw a bunch of balls is classless and makes are fans look like jackasses. What did he say that was really not true? Does this team and organization not have a track record of bad decisions, poor teams, etc. We have a new manager every 4-5 years and rebuild. A few seasons ago "fans" in the bleachers throw trash on the field for a bad call... All you 20 year olds out in the worst seats in the ballpark (who threw the balls or drops a beer on a player) or some other crap should grow up. In my dreams of the Cubs winning the world series in my lifetime, I hope Billionaire Zell says do it again and I close the bleachers..Make it a family section..

    I like Dusty, I think most of us did when they signed him. I also think he changed the mindset of the "lovable losers". I am sure there will be more boos then cheers. But told tell me he ruined Wood and Prior. He did not have a 2 man rotation and blew out their respective arms. Zambrano seems to be ok.... We can argue about his managerial decisions in game 6 of the NLCS...beyond that I think Dusty is certainly not the worst manager the Cubs have had... But stop blaming him for Wood and Prior...

    THIS IS WHY I HATE ALFONSO 10TH INNING THERIOT ON 2ND NO OUT... BUNT HIM TO 3RD, THEN SAC FLY HIM IN CUBS ESCAPE THE NIGHTMARE COLLAPSE... I KNOW ALFONSO WILL BE HITTING 35+ HOMERUN'S BUT FOR GODS SAKE PLAY SMART AND EARN YOUR $

    Of course I have no knowledge of my opinion... it just seems he does not play hard, he cannot take a walk to save his life and the amount of money he makes I would like to see a lot more plate discipline and hustle....

    Just curious, I love to read the comments here. If this team had to make a trade but lose a veteran, who could you stand to lose, regardless of the value returned or contract? Me personally, I am not a Soriano fan. I think he does not belong in the lead-off spot ( not his fault ) but I find him lazy and not a team player.... I would actually prefer Murton in left..Of course not as much power. So just curious!
