    since i dont get the tv feed, I'm watching Band of Brothers for the 5th time god I love this show. o...and the cubs arent playing so bad either...

    Sweet. I have MLB.TV, so I've listened to a lot of teams' broadcasters, and I'd say Milwaukee's are in contention for the worst. I swear they just make up stuff. maybe they'll trade us Fielder, Hall and Capuano for him :D We might have to throw in Izturis, whom they are gushing over. mmmmmmmmmmmm.........thats tough.......ok-done.

    Does that change at all given that he hasn't been on the DL at all this year? If he completes this season healthy, I think he could easily take his place again as the top arm in the system. I completely agree. I was having a conversation with Outshined about how long it'd take before you'd say Guzman was the top minor league pitcher again. I think a healthy season puts a lot to rest (not all, of course, but definitely enough for me). In terms of potential amongst those listed in the first post, I'd say Marmol-Hill-Marshall (Gooz definitely first). Most likely to reach it: Hill, Marshall, Marmol, Guzman. This past spring. I still agree with your top 2. :) I haven't thought much about next year's rankings (until just now), but I can assure you that Veal is moving WAAAYYYYY up my list. :D \ :roll: sucker for the leftys :D

    oooooo boo hoo. like your the only one. I really had questions about Hill, and I still do. I have severe concerns of a pitcher the relies so heavily on his curveball, but I love what I'm seeing from him now. He seems to be mixing his curve with his FB well. I wonder if he mentally has made a corner, but what has changed from May until now for him that would lead to the last two beautiful starts? Has he figured out major league hitting out and adjusted or will major league hitting adjust to him?

    Thre is some truth to this. But seriously, this eppisode is entirely indicitve of how the Cubs run their team-or Baker for that matter. Brian makes an excellent point-why not play Izturis @2nd? If he understands the position, why mess with Cedeno? and if you are hell bent on switching Ronny's position, then why wouldnt you play him there THE FIRST oppertunity you have (Tuesday) and stick by the kid? OOORRR how about a minor league stint to learn the position? nope. Baker freezes his bat and when Ronny trips, baker and the media (Tow-The Line Sullivan) jump down his throat. The real story for Friday was teh offense still sucks. imagine that.

    man i miss the days when I thought the Cubs were up and coming. that Guitteirez (sp) play still brings tears to my eyes. hearing Caray scream "He's out...NO SAFE CUBS WIN CUBS WIN CUBS WIN!!!"" that was fun.
