  1. umm..what link? It's one of the ads that has been popping up tonight in between posts. lol IC
  2. wow, this guys delivery looks like he is about to fall over
  3. I beg to differ Tiger. just cuz a guy puts effort into his swing doesnt mean he isnt pressing for the big hit. MLB hitters do swing for the fences, profound misunderstanding or not.
  4. I dont know about that call, the pitch looked about 6" off the plate
  5. Nobody in the major leagues "swings for the fences". :-k Hmmm... Barry Bonds, Adam Dunn, Prince Fielder, Howard of the Phillies... and that's just in the NL. thin it was sarcasm guys
  6. Probably Grace. Another little league at bat by Jones. I am a lefty and I think I could strike him out. I'm a righty and I bet I could strike him out throwing lefty
  7. awwwwwwww..thats wonderful.......got the oxygen?
  8. Len giving props to two old guys from Elizabeth Il and Shullsburg Wi...thats my old hood!! :) I love it....
  9. You doing drugs tonight Vance? Nope. you sure? maybe the clarvoyent type?:)
  10. I guess. bummer. lets hope the bullpen holds.
  11. going for the big inning. by INVITING the doubleplay?????? ugh. I dont get it. I just dont. 76 pitches, let him hit, just point out the obvious (nothing low, nothing resembling a slider)
  12. stupid question: why did Lou bat for Marshall and take him out of the game withthe bases loaded and zero outs? y not just tell him "dont swing at anyting below the bellybutton"?
  13. well then, Big Z's got it locked up!! :D
  14. To add to it, 1945 was the last year the Cubs appeared in the World Series. Haha thats kind of what i was trying to get at.... but oh well. very cool. keep that penny warm and dry :)
  15. welcome to 1st, kids. lets stay for awhile, and you know, "smell the roses" :)
  16. Sorry, but you put your reputation out on the line when you post without confirmation. Understandable. Ready to take one on the chin if false, but I wouldn't post it up here if I wasn't firmly behind where I heard it. Hope he doesn't end up killing my rep. WELL, YOUR REP DID TAKE IT ON THE CHIN, AND INSTANLY SHOT SKYWARD. THANKS FOR THE INFO BADGER.
  17. I think a lot of how much they would eat would depend on the level of player the Cubs sent back to Philly in return. pffffffffffft..that would depend on Hendry being back or not. most GM's, your right. Hendry, give THEM the farm AND pay all of Burrells salry
