  1. I thought Grossman sucked
  2. Looked like a broken ankle to me. craptastic thanks btw...
  3. what happened to orton
  4. what happened to orton? brown?
  5. That's music to my ears. ugh i'd rather have graham then vasher at this point...
  6. Q: Why do geese fly up-side-down over Ford Field? A: It isn't worth a $hit! ok, that one is really about Lambo, but I think it works
  7. oh howry is right, he played well. at least we got a bye week, then the lambs to rest up with...
  8. If all you want is a guy who snaps the ball to the QB, sure. But pro bowl caliber centers are not easy to replace. The Bears have gotten by with less than great lineman in part because they have had a really good center. As Kreutz ages and declines, they will have to rely on the guards that much more going forward. The point is offensive line is still a huge work in progress. It's essentially a 5 man position that needs a constant influx of young able bodied players to fill it. The Bears are still playing with fire by going with status quo on the line. I dont think you draft a rt in rd 1 unless the guy is a stud this year. as you pointed out yourself, they arent likely to get anyone who would make an immediate impact where they figure to draft in rd 1, so why even bother unless the guy is ready now? and since Tait is till around next year, why not find a good prospect in rds 2-4? rd 1 might provide a much better option at gaurd, or even DL, DB,
  9. Did you miss your boy hurdling someone? You were calling for it all game. no, i was flipping between the alcs and the game. he's the aramis ramirez of hurdling, he only hurdles when it doesn't mean anything. that hurts....too soon
  10. but not THE U go gophers yeah, they're better than the illini like oregon state is better than usc. you can tell tim brewster than he can stop fist-pumping now. naaa...I'm enjoying it ;) good news is very soon we will have our open-air on campus stadium again. about friggen time. I was kinda stunned the gophers beat Illinois. I thought the Illini would be better this year then they have been, and the U's defense is night and day better then last year. I cant wait to go to an Illini-Gophers game outside, or any Gophers home game outside again i'd like to be good humored about it, but it's still stings. too soon. but yeah, an open-air stadium will be nice. well, since your up north, maybe a trip to mpls for a illini/gopher game would be good for you? I actually like the illini alot, having grown up down there. i love the twin cities, and get there whenever i can. then we should have a beer sometime

In fairness, the gap between OSU and USC is much wider than the gap between Minnesota and Illinois. Minnesota is hugely improved this year. IU is really the only pushover team in the Big Ten this year. Except maybe Wisconsin? they showed tim brewster in the stands watching his son's team, and he hasn't stopped celebrating, though. march on, Timmy!

  15. Seriously. He's the best TE in the country. you might want to find a safe house after comments like these two in sequence
  16. I wish we could neutralize the fact that we have a bad DC, and go an entire season with no injuries. Sadly, this isn't a realistic expectation. dont ruin my dream
  17. I'm convinced, barring injury, the Bears are on the verge of being very good. I should say, barring injury and Babich, who I cant stand.
  18. I didnt like the squib, but that didnt loose us the game. we went to a cover deep zone D and got burned. If Harris was 1 step faster on that last play, Ryan is eating turf. that didnt loose us the game either. how in the world we can put the falcons into 3rd and long and consistently give up the 1st down is beyond me. babich is horrible. he just cannot adjust to an offense, and in critical times goes straight to the cover 2 regardless of the game situation. I wasnt a fan of Riveria, but Babich isnt any better
  19. What good receivers did Moose play alongside in Chicago? Maybe Berrian? Maybe? Teams have to do so much coverage on Steve Smith, that Moose can probably get open a lot easier. I haven't watched enough of the games to be sure that's what's going on, but it seems pretty likely. Smith has been suspended most the season, but like Soul says, who cares what Moose does in Carolina, he stunk here. Smith was suspended for the first 2 games of the season. Not close to "most of the season". for some reason I thought it was 3. in any event, with only 5 games played, a 2 game suspension is significant

  21. You want one of the only NL RFs that had a worse OPS than Fukudome? Why bother when you have Fukudome? Yes Hermida is only 24 (a significant advantage over Fukudome), but he also costs talent to acquire, for a net result of a short-term lateral move. The Cubs aren't going to do this, they want to win now. Because Hermida is cost-effective and probably undervalued due to his inability to hit at Pro Player(.203/.273/.312/.584; .288/.364/.487/.851 on the road). It's a Michael Barrett situation. I dont think we need another player starting fights with Z
  22. Not to pin too much expectations on a rookie coming off of an injury, and not to pretend that he's going to be a miracle savior or anything, but if we can play like this with a bad O-line, imagine what might be possible with Chris Williams in there. If the bears season was a madden franchise for me, the minute he was healthy he would be in the lineup with Dan Buenning. I am irritated he is not in there already. Our run blocking is atrocious, but the pass blocking has been real good. We will see this weekend how much they improved. williams is known as a stand-out pass protector, his run blocking needs work I dont know about Buenning, but all the hype was he was a good-all-around gaurd
  23. If it was an injury, my guess it was the STL preseason game, when he got hurt in the pocket, rather than MINN, when he got hurt running down field. no, your right, if any thing it is anything to do with iunjury, it likely had to do with his multiple injuries. In any event, this is the closest I could find on a scouting report: http://profootball.scout.com/2/60436.html
