Except they talk about Webb is for certain the starting LT. And still talk about moving Williams to LT, presumably as the backup. that makes zero sense. I thought they were saying Webb as the swing tackle/back-up
As I look back at it, I think the entire NFL draft was odd this year. There were quality players that dropped, teams taking players that weren't well suited for their schemes ( McClellin for Chicago, Perry for GB, etc)
Isn't Jeffery already down to 215 or something? 212. But he was also intentionally working to run faster and get down as low as possible so he could earn millions of dollars. If he ran a 4.48-4.54 (depending on who you ask) at 212, what does he run at 233lb, which is obviously his playing weight as that's what he was listed as in both 2010 and 2011 by South Carolina? Brandon Marshall ran in the 4.5x range. granted, he has a couple of inches on Jeffery
I didn't realize you were as blind to the line problems as you appear to be. Anybody taken in the 4th this year is automatically more talented than 3 of 5 bears linemen. They didn't need a [expletive], let alone a 7th rounder that's just not true. there's no reason to take a 4th round lineman when you have a bunch of them. the line is absolutely fine except for LT. I agree they should have taken the Iowan OT in the first, or DeCastro, but pretending that Webb will eventually fill the need is crazy
it's not worth a 4th rounder if a guy you like is on the board, which he was. i'm telling you, rodriguez is a player. Oh well if he's a playa so be it (I'm teasing you)
