Without even informing any of Jay, TJ, or Slauson, we have the ability to turn their money into signing bonuses to lower our cap number, if we see FA we want and need money to get them. 5 years from now the League will severely reprimand us for the work of our "cap genius" With the quotation marks around cap genius, are you not in favor of this? Or do you like Cliff a lot? I'm 90% joking around. He seems to be doing really innovating things to get guys under contracts everyone loves and the Bears fan in me just dreads it all going bad. And by going bad I mean being uncovered as illegal or not allowable.

Hageman is really still a work in progress too. He's a lot like Melton, came to school to play FB, then TE and finally moved to D if I remember correctly. I wouldn't hesitate on either Nix or Hageman, but the homer in me would choose Hageman
I think it was Wilford Brimley It was Telander, not Morrisey. Telander is an absolute asshat anyway; this is not surprising. Telander is the guy who got scared by Kreutz in the locker room and wrote a column about it. I would be afraid of him too
Potash makes the suggestion of McClellin at LB: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/24669335-419/10-observations-on-offseason-priorities-for-the-chicago-bears.html If I recall, didnt Bostic play mainly as MLB? why cant we work him as one of the other LB positions?
