They held onto Angelo too long while he wasted a few more drafts and then hired a guy who couldn't reverse the trend. Well that doom began when Lovie started having more input into the drafting/personnel decisions, which began after the Super Bowl loss. i think Lovie always had input. Angelo drafted speed, acquired speed, did whatever he could to give Lovie his coveted speed. But Lovie had more direct official input beginning in 2007, the Dan Bazuin draft. Holy God that's a name I do not miss
