    I like Pace and think we've had a very good offseason, however I think the Kyle Fuller and Cam Meredith situations were pretty big unforced errors that make me hesitant to give him an A. Overall I'm very happy with where the team is though. They are good enough to go as far as Mitch can take them (and I believe he's a frontline talent), the roster has a good amount of quality youth, and the salary cap situation looks quite healthy. The Fuller situation worked out just fine

    Everything that's been reported says Daniels will compete at LG, and keep Whitehair at C. Why not just draft a true guard then?

    they gave up a (more likely) primo 2nd and 4th for a (more likely) lesser 2nd. Got it. my point stands. David still wants to know the relevance of the other 4th. I forgot. will you forgive me?

    basically the same as saying we gave up a future 4th round pick for a guy we like now; nothing really. you stated that waiting to draft next year was rolling the dice. horsefeathers, we're rolling the dice now. i have no idea what you're saying at the time that trade was made, they knew exactly who was available and who they'd be able to take. a player of the caliber/fit that they apparently perceive miller to be may or may not be available with that pick next year. they gave up a 4th and swapped 2nds (yes, a later 2nd than they are likely to have next year - but that is negated by the fact that they know their player is there when they make the move) to make sure they got that player and they got him a year sooner than that guy they'd take next year. and i still have no clue what point you were making by saying we had 2 4th rounders this year they gave up a (more likely) primo 2nd and 4th for a (more likely) lesser 2nd. Got it. my point stands.

    we had 2 #4's. and this guy better be UNBELIEVABLE to the point it puts the pick way past #50. or the collection of them.     look, dont get me wrong. This Memphis kid looks the part. whats his speed? he looks fast as hell. his tape looks awesome, but EVERY early draft guy has stellar film. I'm glad they took a wr on day 2. there. I said it. and with some perspective, if we are bottom 1/2 2nd round we are bottom 1/2 1st round too, meaning trading down next year is entirely still in play. but still....pessimism nags me

    yea. they hated the possibility of Meredith's recovery and felt White gave them a better chance. If they kept Meredith, it would have been Meredith vs White in camp. #8 probably would have been a reach for Ridley or trade down for Ridley/Sutton or later draft WR. what dont you get 1. Why you think White has anything to do with anything 2. Why you came in all hot like you called your shot when WR as a top 3 need for this team was the popular opinion of every Bears fan in existence. 1. I dont. I think it had to do with Meredith 2. Because its Friday after a tough week and screw it I want to joke around

    a #2 and a #4 for a #2 Pace is a horsefeathering ametuer fwiw, smarter front offices are placing less value in later round picks relative to early ones than it ever used to be, largely because of the rookie wage scale. and those roster spots from the later round picks can be filled with cheap free agents and such (or veterans you trade those picks for) the jimmy johnson chart is completely out the window in 2018. yea. but we lose an early draft pick in this

    no I'm the one who wanted it 1st day. but i forgot that the NFL doesn't draft 2nd round on 1st day anymore, so I would have been fine in rd 2. dick nuh uh, you said if they drafted Nelson at 8 that meant they were comfortable with White at WR. And dont call me a dick. what are you 9 years old? nuh uuuh. nuh uhhh. I said the fact they let Meredith go meant they were more comfortable with White which meant they probably felt Meredith was going to have health issues. like his muthafucking knee. jesus. read.

    yeah and he went at the end of the 1st. This is 8th overall. He's got to be insanely good as a LB to justify this value. Very hard for a LB to have that kind of value, especially a small guy.Because teams underestimated him because of his size. How many teams that passed on him would like a do over? If Smith turns out to be a HOF like lewis ill forgive the #8 pick issue
