  1. I’m guessing its health Eta: could also be their contract situations, ie having to swallow White’s w/ or w/o Meredith; but with their available salary against the cap I wouldn’t think so
  2. Although I do mention White, I wasn’t advocating for him. I’m hoping for a top WR in the draft and if that means a trade down, so be it. Robinson is a nice story, but he’s been no more healthy then Meredith really. And all the other names mentioned hereupon underwhelm me save Snead. But Snead looks to be headed elsewhere from the last reports I’ve read. I also get the strong feeling Pace is done with FA save a few roster stuffing pick ups. wasn't this entire thing started by you saying the bears must have confidence in white if they let meredith go? am i taking crazy pills? I was saying the Bears must have more reservations about Meredith. I dont know why.
  3. who's advocating for White? I was suggesting Meredith vs draft pick Although I do mention White, I wasn’t advocating for him. 4. They are the best options, the ones you list are junk Lol no White is a worse option than all of them who's advocating for White? I was suggesting Meredith vs draft pick

  6. Im confused between the “w” posters in this thread lol Look, if Pace isn’t willing to match NO on Meredith, he’s either willing to gamble on a player like White or getting a player like Ridley/Sutton. Either way, he has to think the hen in hand (Meredith) isn’t worth the two eggs in the basket if he wouldn’t match. Meredith either isn’t healthy or on board with Nagys direction. Is it a surprise Meredith would go to Pace’s old team?
  7. White is lost money either way, but he is additional lost cap too by doing anything other than keeping him on the roster for now. Basically he's around by default until he gets outplayed by 53 other guys. Maybe they're super confident in his health, but even healthy that would be dumb. So... maybe just wishful thinking again on my part, but he's just a weird spaceholder to me. They (pace) took him #4 pick overall. How is his potential weird??
  8. Clarify: White may very well be lost money. Meredith maybe not. Why is Pace betting this way?
  9. Because it validates willing to go into the season with White Im not sure I agree, i’m not trying to argue, its just seems like an obvious observation. Meredith has deeply outplayed White in their careers, why would you gamble otherwise?
  10. I dont think (maybe false hope) this has anything to do with White. He's like an old pool table in the basement you just haven't gotten rid of because it's more a pain to move it up the stairs than the extra space is worth. That should be the attitude anyways. If they draft Nelson at 8, its exactly what I stated.
  11. All of this has to be more the Bears uncomfortable with Meredith’s injury but ok with Whites recovery. I hope they know what we don’t know
  12. Was Robinson's injury that much less severe? Robinson has produced a lot more
  13. I'm damn near positive the Bears will match. welp, nevermind wonder if this says anything about how his recovery is going [tweet] [/tweet] Just coming here to discuss this. Does this (combined with the Sutton interview) suggest a trade down-draft WR scenario?
  14. I don't like being such an horsefeathers but I LOLd at this thought pretty hard. I can understand trading down and getting McGlinchey but I would be truly sick if we took him at 8. Me too
  15. sometimes, you just see what you like regardless of where you are. I think sulley and I are the only 2 on this board who wanted to draft him regardless of cost. Mitch has work to do, but horsefeathers everyone if you dont think he can't. Come on man! I suppose I don't have enough posts to be part of the Cheers gang but Id think I had enough TL;DR article length posts dedicated to Trubisky fawning leading up to the draft that I get a spot on the bandwagon. Raw was in there too there, maybe the original QB or bust voice. But yeah I'd have given up quite a bit to move up that one spot and was worried that Cleveland would be smarter than standard Cleveland and work some way to get Mitch with one of their picks. But happily they're fools and decided to do the foolish thing of waiting until the second round to get a QB who ended up being bad enough that they traded him a year later. Pace fleeced them and everyone else who had a shot at getting Mitch. Mitch is going to be super good and all Bears fans will be way happy. Pace is making it pretty clear that he's great at GMing, I couldn't have asked for a more promising HC hire, and the the offense is set up to be an exciting consistent top 10 type thing for the first time in my life (first time in every Bears fans life?) I'm sure this all sounds pretty overconfident for a team picking 8, but I feel like the team is finally going to pay off my "cup runneth over" optimism here. eh; Sulley are old friends. tree too. regardless, this will be a journey. welcome to the ride.

  17. It will be interesting to see if this pushes us into Ridley
  18. Im confused. Hes on the bottom of the list but doesnt have the “threesigmascore” or whatever the hell it is
  19. I'm with this. Don't the Bears have CB issues? 8 is a great spot for Denzel Ward. I'd love to get Roquan Smith the LB from Georgia. Nelson is worth taking with a 2nd year QB and new offense. Trading Howard (although i don’t love it) isn’t the end of the world either. But only if it somehow creates a net gain of Barkley. Whatever you do, dont get worse at rb
  20. How many teams trade up in the draft for a DB? Seems like a position not suited for that kind of draft pursuit. If 4 qbs go before the bears pick, the bears better take the best available at 8 because pretty much all of the left over top picks fit a Bears need, save maybe WR. Even then.... Was just a scenario I thought of today. The Packers have like 2 CBs on the whole roster right now, they might be especially desperate to make sure they get Ward or Fitzpatrick The idea still supposes Nelson is around at 11, which he likely wouldn’t be. Lots of talent at #11, but far better options at 8. Id really have to feel confident there was a 1a, 1b, 1c at 11 to give up 8. I mean, its only 3 spots, but the talent left on the board might be difference makers. Also why let GB get a top shelf DB? Now if only 2 qbs go before 8, I’d def consider trading down to someone looking for a qb Who would you anticipate falling back to at 11 if Nelson was taken before then, out of curiosity?

  22. Mel Kiper also has the Bears getting Nelson http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2018/insider/story/_/id/22917443/nfl-mock-draft-2018-30-mel-kiper-first-round-pick-rankings-draft-order-32-picks I would guess it plays out more like Miller's scenario, but I think the larger point stands that the top 6 looks increasingly like it will be Barkley, Chubb, and the top 4 QBs. Bears interior of healthy Long, Whitehair and Nelson would be very nice, I’d take it Also, what does the board think of RRH opposite Floyd fulltime? He only had 2 sacks last year but in a back-up roll. When he played, he seemed to get good pressure and dude is a beast, 6’7” 270 lbs
